Don't discount the impact of bullying. What the parents or specifically the dad are saying and doing is totally wrong, and may sound shallow, but the consequences of bullying are life-threatening. Not that rarely, this leads to complex PTSD and a life long history of depression, anxiety, other issues, on top of the OCD.

His OCD tics is nothing to worry about if the kids at school are watching him constantly he can tell them he has OCD and he can't help having tics. I think it was more the wife than the husband, since once he knew he just told them to do the treatment. I think his brusqueness was more result of disbelief and hurt that his wife would go this far to hide her secret rather than do what needed to be done for their son, and the realization of how shallow and unreliable she must think he is.

The fact that the parents feel they need to 'cure' their child of neurological/developmental issues like it is some deadly disease simply because they don't want their child to be 'different', rather than accepting them, making life easier for them by accommodating them, and striving for society to do the same, and refusing to take responsibility that maybe THEY are the source of the 'problem' is the most realistic part in this.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure it was mainly the wife. The husband was only so insistent because he trusted her to think of their child first, and how he acted after learning the truth was the result of how hard the realization hit him of how wrong he was to trust her.

3:36 I can't help but imagine what House would say in this case. I'm stuck between the two variants: 1. "Well, in that case I've got good news, 'cause if we don't remove that thing, you'll have no problem to worry and your son's future will be definately decided." 2. "Right, compromising his future... You know, I've heard death is a rather compromising thing for the future. Real dealbreaker for kids these days." I have 2 children with PANDAS. I'd love to have this show actually do research. It is not some made up disorders. There are blood tests which can confirm the child has it. Doctors and researchers have been researching this. Exemplary research institutions no longer try to "prove" PANDAS is a real disorder. Now they are researching how to eliminate it. PANDAS is a scary disorder. Your child is happy and healthy one day, and literally overnight they are nearly unrecognizable. Severe OCD, anxiety, emotional lability, and Tourette's-like symptoms. And not just a little anxiety. Some are so severe they cannot go anywhere in public let alone to school. Long-term antibiotics is one of the initial treatments and they do help. No parents want their child taking this long term. But IVIG (which has been proven to help) is difficult to get covered by insurance and is prohibitively expensive. I've watched my kids struggle with this for over ten years. The only thing that helped was IVIG. I know the show is trying to say that everyone assumes a kid with tics probably has it. But believe me, that is rare. Getting a diagnosis took years for us, trying to find a doctor to diagnosis it let alone treat it. The doctor's comments were offensive and uneducated. This show drives me nuts. Everything is about "bad parents". Doctors are paid to give medical opinions, not personal.

Some kids with ADHD have hyperactive behaviors and some don't, but the diagnosis is ADHD either way" There are also several types of ADHD "ADHD, combined type. This, the least common type of ADHD, is characterized by impulsive and hyperactive behaviors without inattention and distractibility. ADHD, inattentive and distractible type. This type of ADHD is characterized predominately by inattention and distractibility without hyperactivity." Please just look it up. @@Destroya7961 ADD is no longer classified as its own separate disorder, rather it is one of the three types of ADHD. These three types are, inattentive, hyperactive, and combined. inattentive ADHD would be what was formerly known as ADD. So if you are saying you have both ADD and and ADHD, then you would likely be classified as having the combined type of ADHD. meaning you have both attention issues, and issues with impulsivity and hyperactivity. Ive suffered from PANDAS for 15 years (Im 20 now) and Ive never once met or heard about a mother who OD’d their child with antibiotics. It’s so frustrating and disappointing to see a PANDAS parent portrayed by the media as a crazy person after years of having Doctors deny me treatment because they didn’t believe in my illness. And for all those in the comments here saying “Antibiotics don’t treat OCD” you’re absolutely right. It doesn’t treat OCD, it treats autoimmune encephalitis (aka PANDAS) that CAUSES OCD. Please don’t buy into this bullshit, this is not how actual PANDAS parents behave.

2:25 I’m only this far-I don’t typically watch these med shows, but At least they got the “Vanco” right… Then again, They would’ve known if it was C-Diff right away, for…other reasons. I know this from personal experience…over a year of horrible personal experience in and out of the hospital, weighing less than 100lbs, getting pneumonia from the IV in the ambulance (from them saving my organs, due to severe dehydration) almost losing custody of my child because nobody knew how sick I was and thought I was just “sleeping” when I was, in fact, losing consciousness, but his father declined to offer any help, till the final hospital admission when the ambulance came to get me and I was 2 BP points away from not Having one. I remember just feeling cold. All of this, FROM improperly diagnosed antibiotics. Now I have my own shiny file with the CDC, and while technically cured due to a…transplant…(FRS) I never have to have a roommate in a hospital again. Technically, I’m not ALLOWED, but I like to look at the silver lining…oh, and I’m not really supposed ever take antibiotics again unless it’s life or death-and if it IS, I can’t take it w/o taking another antibiotic along with it JIC. Ironic. Sorry for the life story…this video got me kinda mad, even tho I know it’s scripted. I pray it’s not based off of any true story and ppl are at least somewhat educated re:antibiotics these days…

If only IVIG was something thr was so easily passed out in the hospital, more less the ER! Especially when there really isn't a logical reasoning for it.

So, eugenics? Or genetically modifying a disabled child to be neurotypical because you don't want to accept them for who they are? Because if either is the case then do not have kids. If you plan to have a kid then you accept the possibility of birthing a disabled kid.
