Very well explained Chris. I think this issue with most of the other pick sets is the reason that the myth that locks are harder to pick bolt side has been floating about for years. You demonstrated it beautifully. Get a well designed tool made by people who actually know their craft. ;)

Thanks mate yes that’s a very good point and is most definitely true why people find it harder to pick bold side. Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻

And thats the way it is. Knowledge and Wisdom mate you just get better. Someone once told me the difference between knowledge and Wisdom.. Knowledge is knowing that a Tomato is a fruit and Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad. 😄loves it mate. 👍

Love your way of explaining things so that we can all easily understand it, Chris.😊 It’s easy to see that you know these locks well. I am fascinated by lever locks, but haven’t had the opportunity to pick any yet, but will most definitely be referring back to your videos when I do. Cheers mate!☺️🍻

Nice explanation as to why, but what are the actual measurements for the upstand? How far forward from the collar is correct distance to the near-side cut of the upstand? How far from the collar to the far side of the upstand, in thousandths of an inch? how wide is the base of it, and how wide should the top be? Thanks for the info. Would like to make my own, bang on rather than pissing about, trying to guess.

What can you do if it is out chris?
@chrisevanslockpicking92414 жыл бұрын
What pick is it mate! Some are to big, some are to long, and some are just in the wrong place. If to but or long you can slowly file the upstand down until. Email me some pictures of it inside the lock and show the upstand inside the keyway and I’ll see what needs doing 👍🏻
