I’ve been really struggling with loft since getting fitted for new irons last year. Distance and speed have been great but I just can’t get the height I want. I’m going to be checking how closed my face is in the back swing later as I definitely have a lot of forward shaft lean and compression at impact. Thanks Chris

Chris this is a perfect video as it applies to my swing. I seem to be affected by all three of these faults at various times. Less shaft lean, faster swing speed are what I’m working on. Nice to see someone capture my issues exactly. Thanks for this video

+Chris Burns Same here, from a wedge to my driver, all shots have way too much height. This results in all carry and no run, I am now getting desperate.

You've increased the loft on your club, this is because you've not struck the ball on the downswing, you've probably cupped your fwd wrist just before impact, you're not getting turned properly, try taking smaller swings until you are ready to take a full swing

Thank you for the lesson. I know I have at least one or more of those issues preventing me from hitting my irons high. As soon as Spring comes, I'll give it a try. Now how about hitting fat shots?

I would like to request a tour of where you are. Kind of like "The Office" type of camera shot and a look at the range where you are hitting. What clubs do you play? For me I have had several big breakthroughs on my golf game that have helped a lot. What tips have really helped your game. Do you work for Taylor made or the course? Really enjoy the videos. Lower hands for better impact has been the best video for improving my game. I notice if my body gets too far in front of the ball I hit it right off the toe it seems but when I hit it perfect I feel a more solid impact than I ever had. If you have anymore info for that lesson please let me know. Thanks again.

Great Video again. One question - for dynamic loft I have seen that the PGA average DL for a six iron is 20.2 degrees. So, should an amateur, if he/she had a six iron with 30 degrees loft, Try to do the same? Also for a stock shot should the DL be about 10 degrees less than the static loft through the bag for irons? Strangely, I can't find these details for the PGA tour - only the six iron. The reason I ask is that I made a 20 degree bevel cut on a small piece of 4 x 2 so that I could practice an impact position with this amount of Dynamic Loft for a six iron. This may or may not be appropriate for my swing speed, but it gave me a much better idea of what I was trying to achieve in this regard rather than the general concept of forward shaft lean. Maybe a subject for another great video.

I think it’s hard when my fight is too low, buts it’s still hard when I high hard.
