Did you know that your body makes it's own H2S? AND that it's anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, and all-around rad? It's true! As a matter of fact, scientists are looking for way to INCREASE H2S in the body and tap into these profound effects. The key for us in the IBS and SIBO world is 1. to understand the different sources of H2S (body-made or bacteria-made) and 2. choose our treatment modalities accordingly. I see a LOT of people get these mixed up in the IBS and SIBO forums, so I thought I'd make a video clarifying this once and for all.

Do you have an opinion on S-sulfocysteine? Chris Masterjohn has been talking about this and it makes a lot of sense to me. Slow SUOX means accumulation of sulfite which combines with cysteine. Does this then reduce availability for glutathione production? Low glutathione upregulates transulfuration and overload of SUOX continues. I can see a possible vicious cycle.

I know I had SIBO. I struggle greatly with fatigue and eating certain foods. I also am not able to take a lot of supplements. So, could low fodmap freedom help me? I also have no gallbladder.
