Lovely in Cascais

I rented an apartment through Airbnb near the old town, but a short drive away, which was ideal. I agree that the outskirts are better, more relaxed and neighborhoody. I had a car so getting around was easy. There’s the big Cascais shopping mall on the way to Sintra which is very convenient. The Portuguese have a lot of gourmet food courts. There’s even an all vegan restaurant Terra in the Cascais mall and in the Porto mall. Portugal has become too expensive for real estate and as of 1/1/24, paying the tax man. Oh well, that’s what vacations are for, I suppose…The juice is no longer worth the squeeze, in my opinion. Lovely country though.
