I remember I watched a zac in the wild vid, where he repaired a motercycle, just with the tools he had on him. The point of the video was it’s not just about what you carry, it’s knowing how to interact with the world with the tools you have on you. Not to say certain tools aren’t important, but it’s not about is your edc ready for a natural disaster, it’s about are you ready to use your edc for a natural disaster.

11:18 If I'm not mistaken, the designer of the Cormorant is Yue Dong, who is now the main designer for Vosteed.

That’s actually exactly what I was trying to confirm when I was checking right then! I’m a big fan of Yue’s designs at Vosteed

I’ve recently purchased a Baofeng radio GMRS. I also applied for the 10 year license and got a call sign reading through it, experimenting and trying it out

Not sure I understand the thumbnail question, My every day carry isnt meant for surviving a natural disaster? Its meant for convenience in modern life. Its fine to enjoy your edc for its aesthetic purposes of course and I guess wanting to be prepared for a natural disaster seems logical if you for example live in tornado alley or islanders that deal with hurricane or tsunami but just because an edc contains a knife or a light doesn't brand it as survival gear its quite the opposite usually in best case scenario edc gear are tools for modern day men and women in civilized and or working lives, worst case I guess its expensive man toys. Im not teasing anybody, Ive bought a few overpriced knife lanyard beads and anodized titanium tweezers and stuff like that. (Actually Titanium tweezers may have been one of my good impulse buys and I love the beads but 75-100$ bead is like the price of a whole knife for many folks so I have to call them overlriced...)

Oh yeah I totally agree, my experience traveling just sort of opened my eyes to the reality that my EDC has limits in terms of preparedness and I wanted to explore that experience as a topic for the intro. Thanks for sharing and tuning in 🙌

Kamusta mga 'tol! Greetings from Sacramento, CA. 👍 Whenever I visit the Philippines, my EDC changes because of the hot and humid weather. Part of my EDC includes a small umbrella, wallet for cash, a NPE tool, and some tsinelas for floody parts of the city.
