🤣 Still remember the day we had a strength test in gym class and I beat the whole class. The look on those sport kids’ face when clumsy, little me lifted twice my own weight without getting out of puff. I thought everyone had to lift hay bales as ‘punishment’ for misbehaving at home... but I guess not P.S. My parents are geniuses. They had some really well behaved kids because honestly it was just easier than the alternative.

We keep tabs on my horse's weight almost everytime, especially in the summer because she has had laminitis. She is a haffliger and weighs about 450 kg, she is 148 cm in height. We use a weight tape and I think it works really well! :3

this video was very interesting! one thing i would recommend when trying to estimate caspers weight when getting him fit is actually not using the weight tape but measuring the girth x girth x body length ÷ 300 and you would get a bit more accuracy but you can do it any way you’d like! i’d love to see a series of you getting casper fit and what not ☺️ love your videos!

Thanks Esme, this is a really informative video. I was surprised at Casper's weight as he doesn't look (too) heavy to me, I wonder what our Connie weighs now and if I have been underestimating his weight!! We had a wee pony with Cushings some years ago, you do have to be very careful with them as they drop weight very quickly, but are prone to laminitis even when under weight 😥 Your animals are so well cared for, I'm sure Mickey is in the best hands ❤️🦄

I have a two-stable barn on my property, and I use one for my horse Liberty, and the other for feed, then I have a *small* tack room off the the side :) Also, Liberty is a 17.1hh Quarterhorse mare :)

I’ve been convinced for some time that horses understand our language more than we think and Casper proves it by turning around in offense when she says his withers have too much fat!!!

This video has helped me out soo much because i ride and lease this horse at my local riding stable and he is a piebald cob called jerry. I was always told that he isn’t fat he is just a cob and that’s how he’s is and that he is just naturally fat or as they say ‘chubby’ but looking at this video he is showing a lot of signs of being obese. And since I’m getting my own horse in 2 or 3 weeks I’m not sure that there is much that i can do, this horse also lives at the stable and so i cant exactly change his diet, so if anyone has any advise like any treats or or anything that could reduce his weight thank you! Great video esme also if you could do a video on how best to prepare for a first horse that would be great thanks 🙏 😊

OMG you know how in the last video how esme said she describes the horses as blues and purples and GREENS and she also said that the donkeys old stable might not be empty for much longer! And in this video when she was putting the donkeys in there stable she pointed at their nameplate and said I actually need to change this!. You see, she doesn’t have a green horse! And why would she wast time making a nameplate if it was just gonna say ‘spare stable’. And she also said that she had exiting videos coming soon. My horse is extremely under weight he's only 5 before I got him his old owners just keeped him in their back yard and only rode him 3 times before we got him so he was pretty green and had a lot of feet issues and he is having trouble keeping weight on and I don't ride him 6 times a week I do 3 times with him 3 times with another horse he has 2 weight supplements any tips???

@some one he is in his still at night to get some hay he used to be turned out 24/7 and he isn't here bound so he doesn't go to the round able when there is many horses around it so he only eats in his still

If it gets at all cold blanket so he doesn’t have to waste energy on heating himself . Go to your local store and get fatty supplements for horses. Invite great with lots of proteins and fats
