My issue is that when it's time to liquidate everyones funds over the next 10 to 50 years will the money still be sitting there when I retire in 40 years because a huge sum of it seems to just be cash and cash equivalents which means its basically government debt

Personally I would consider the fees more since returns can fluctuate but fees are eternal
