Personally I want a hybrid interon my first gen. I like the red carpet but hate the wood on the dash. My speeddo is broke so im thinking about pulling all the gauges and doing a stanless(it would match the lock nob and handles plus the trim on the outside) dash panel and new gauges.

1989 is a true tan while 1990 and 1991 non intercooled is a taupe tan and the 92 and 93 is a spice tan.

I'm never had much trouble taking them on and after. Only trouble I've had is if I forget to take out the 2 or 3 hidden screws.

I used that same paint on the CODs interior except I didn't use the adhesion promoter which I believe cause it to scuff easier. I went from maroon to tan. When I re do it or when I do the crew cab I will try of the promoter. I prefer the tan interior color the most.

Hi Tim the dash and panels look good I think dodge colors on the 89 to 93 ‘s are red, maroon, saddle, tan (mostly government rigs) and grey, keep up the great work looks like you have a pretty good following from the first gen guys

Great question. It actually do work. I painted my driver arm rest about 8 years ago and it's holding up well. The arm rest is a high wear area so you can se wear but i didn't expect it to hold up as well as it's holding up

So there are a few reasons this can happen. 1. poorly sealed windshield gasket, 2. crack in the cowel under the windshield valance, 3. water getting in through the kick panel vent, 4. Poorly sealed driver door gasket.

Ok so my passagier side door is sagging pretty bad. I have replaced the bushings and that make it worse. I have talked to some people and they said the bolts on the hinge itself that bolt it to the cab can have a little wiggle room and to rotate the hinge itself towards the engine bay. The problem is I can’t get to the bolts. So I was wondering if you knew how to get it those bolts. Can I get to them if I take the glovebox out or do I need to take the dash out. 2 of the 3 bolts face inwards not outwards and that is why this is a problem

I don't remember those details. I believe it was a 9/16 bolt head and I just had a few different extension sizes available. Let me know how it goes. I think i made it look easier in the video than it actually was haha

Yes, the passenger one was bad but the driver one was in excellent shape. I did some work to it with a scotch brite pad but I am just going to keep an eye out for one in better shape. May take a few years but I'm fine with that.

What year is your truck? Mine is a 93 and the camel worked perfect. I think the spice tan is just a little lighter and was for pre 91 trucks

@@decentgarage it's an 81' I've actually spent over about 15 years trying to find all the correct trim. I've found all but the drivers kick panel and the piece that goes under the rear window.

I'm reaching out for some guidance. The A/C vent (P/N 55026462) in the dash cluster on my 91 W350 is broken, and the part isn't available from Dodge anymore. Would you happen to know of another part number that would work as a replacement - or a source for a good quality used part? The only place I've found that might have them is Mopar Canada, and they won't let you order from the States for some reason. Any thoughts are appreciated.
