A little longer than I expected, but I wanted this to be a BULLETPROOF overview of the process.
This is it! The gearbox preparation for the Lexus IS300 manual swap! This was a long one to film, and I came up against some pretty annoying challenges, all of which were overcome thanks to a few friends! :)

Yes. generally with the conceptua flywheel.

Also the bearing is SR20/RB for future. I think also you might need to take the slave off again.

Love your videos! I plan to follow along on my IS300 when I can afford it. One question, what happens to those loom bands? Do they just break off and stay in the gear box?

Eventually, yes they will :) They’re very thin though so it’s not a lot of rubber and there’s some RTV in there too. You can use less of them if you’re more experienced. I’m glad you enjoy the videos! Thanks for watching :) 🙏🏻

​@shizukesajdm settled on the turbo setup yet? I've been planning my build on my Sportcross. EMU Black, Tial 44mm, Dodo Ex Manifold, and Pulsar GT3582R, Warlbo 255 and Fuel Return setup. Intercooler has been a difficult one for me because I really don't want to cut into the chassis so been looking at a small A2W setup

At first, I just want to experience stock 2JZ power, so I'll be shooting for 320bhp. Perhaps I'll go with a Pulsar G25-550, but I fear it may be too big and give me a lot of lag. I'm really unsure as to what I should go with to get 320bhp with about 50hp room overhead to add a little power. The J160 doesn't take much power so I don't wanna push it much past stock 2JZ power. It probably takes around the same as a W55. 44mm Turbosmart WG. Walbro 255 and either a Link or Haltech 2500. DW 550cc injectors perhaps. These are just ideas at the moment. I can't go with a CX racing kit because the turbo is too big for the power I wanna make, and the exhaust manifold might not fit due to it being RHD. Who knows? But I'm planning on the turbo conversion for summer 2024. Let's see :)

Hello. One question/curiosity! The looms bands! After getting the new bolt in, how did you removed them? Or did you take them off before inserting the bellhousing?

You don’t remove them 👍🏻 They stay attached or they eventually break off. It’s only a little bit of rubber so it’s not an issue if that happens.
