Hopefully you see this Before you did the job, did you experience clunk noise coming from the rear subframe? I noticed I started to hear clunky noise when I dropped my subframe to do my bushings with cube speed bushings and frs rear diff with Xcessive bushings. Perhaps I may have damaged the stock bushing on knuckle and now I have a clunk/knock sound.
@allentan57796 ай бұрын
my car had zero clunking noises or any type of noises. i know with the frs diff you have to open up the holes more to make it work with the is300 chassis. maybe you made the holes slightly to big and its got a little bit of movement when you go over bumps or hit the gas pedal?
@imJGott6 ай бұрын
@@allentan5779 thanks for the reply. for the frs diff i bought the proper bolts for it so i wouldnt have to open up the holes. ill have to put my car on a lift and see what is moving back and forth. the movement i notice when i go forward of backwards. as if something is shifting. i thought it was my rear upper control arm, replaced those since they were aged and worn out. clunk still exist. suspension was replaced a couple of weeks ago for the same reason as before, same clunk. it all came after my friends and i dropped my rear subframe to do the subframe bushings. what got me thinking is it could be possible that its not torque to spec but instead we shot them down with a high impact gun. ill need to verify the torque spec and ill also reach out to cube speed for insight.
@allentan57796 ай бұрын
@@imJGott sometimes you can misalign the subframe when putting it back up or torquing down one side more than the other. Yeah put it on a lift and have a big wedge bar to move stuff around with should be able to find the movement. And when you say right size bolts you mean smaller now? since you didnt drill out the ears to the right size of the factory is300 bolts.

*You was suppose to lubricant that spherical bushing. Especially the bearings themselves because they will be moving metal on metal, I'm sure you've felt the friction and heard squeaking by now*
@allentan57792 жыл бұрын
I lubricated them lol i realized it after i put everything back together. And figs sent me my bushing/bearings pre assembled i contacted them and they said they put it together pre lubricanted since they didnt send me the lub with my kit. But i did go back and ad some grease to the metal inserts afterwards

Question, was yours Squeaking when driving? My Driver Side Rear Is Squeaking so annoyingly and I'm wondering if that's why you ended up doing this maintenance
@allentan5779 Жыл бұрын
No i noticed some play in the bushing so i ended up getting the figs bushings since i track the car. I noticed it under decompression in the suspension.
