VW group is not leaving india. Do read AUTOCAR magz from last month. Skoda is seeking collaboration with mahindra for their EV platforms and tech share. Moreover the company which was selling a very few units in india since 2002 survived somehow, now they are in ever better position than before making around 2000 units per month alone which is still better than their previous graph. Do proper research before making a video and create a panic situation among all.

These companies choose wrong product without understanding the market yet blame to costumers that we don't value good products. Companies provide facelift, color edition etc to attract customer but this brands think they are the best just because they get better volume in developed countries. Overall in India target customer for volume is focused on milage and space. Performance and price attract low volume.

Frankly, Volkswagen only has itself to blame for this. It is totally wrong to suggest that Indians could not understand good cars. A car is not an FMCG product which you use for a week and its done. It is a long term purchase. So, only sturdiness and thrilling engines are not enough. A solid service capability and bullet proof reliability is an absolute must. Period! And Volkswagen even after so many years could not change their unreliable track record! For example if Volkswagen was actually so serious about India, they would not have taken it so lightly so as to dump DSG DQ 200 gearbox on Indians! It is known that DQ 200 is a failed platform and if a company still promoted it using clever marketing, it is surely does not respect its customers! I myself loved their drive quality but could not convince myself to buy Virtus or any of their cars because when you want to buy a car you also need to be sensible! If they were only humble to accept their own shortcomings, things would not have come to this! And like you keep mentioning on your channel that consumers must ask for 5 star rating, same way it is the consumer's absolute right to ask for solid reliability and after sales service. So, for me its a great thing that Volkswagen has been shown the mirror and rather than blaming Indians for not understanding their cars, they should introspect why they failed! Kudos to the sensible Indian consumer! Next time a car company would not take us for granted and ensure they give us reliability and not smack us with a mercurial gearbox masqueraded as great European tech (Great tech should ensure reliability, not a ride in an amusement park)! Would you call Mac Book or Apple offerings great products if they kept failing more often than HP or Dell. Perhaps on contrary Apple products are not just better made and faster, but also more reliable than all its competitors- that is great tech.

DQ200 failed in diesels not in petrol. I have friends who have driven slavia dsg and virtus dsg near about 70k and 55k respectively. DQ200 failed in diesels because the TDIs produced more torque than gearbox could handle which resulted in failure . In TSI it's not tha case the torque handing capacity of the gearbox is more than the torque available which is the reason why there's no failure, atleast I have not known anyone with dsg failure till date in 2.0 cars. Two of my friends have no such issue till date almost after 2 years of usage. I have 1.5 tsi kushaq manual, though I am happy with it's performance but i wish I had gone for dsg. My elder brother took delivery of creta 1.5 diesel 2 months back, I got to drive it for about 1k kms, I'll not compare about the power but the driving dynamics is a big lack in creta. It just doesn't inspire me the confidence as my kushaq does or any other vw provides. Coming to service experience, at Bhubaneswar I'm getting a pretty good service experience of which I'll soon share an article on team BHP.

You would have known the gearbox used currently only if you would have purchased it. I can make you count hundred instances of poor service centre experiences at hyundai and maruti. Just because they're selling in huge nos, the negative part of their experience just gets suppressed. If service is such a concern why does tata sell in hot numbers then. Do you know what kind of service tata provides, they don't step back from assaulting their customers. I never deny vw has issues but so do other companies. And you should point them also if you're pointing out for vw.

DSG being horribly clunky (rather clumsy) in low speeds where it acts with a lag and becomes super fuel inefficient? So many stories of Cars being sent to service centres for mysterious issues and remaining there for weeks and months without concrete solutions? Is all this not happened in VW 2.0? And even on DSG, how can you be sure based on your small sample size and lower time frame so far? Anyhow my point is all this is unacceptable when you pay a premium. With so many issues even in VW 2.0, it is not an over-engineered but an under-engineered car and lacked adequate testing! And if you saying service capability and reliability is not a factor in determining success of a Car company, then I rest my case:) Secondly, there has been a clear premiumization trend in India across all products. So, clearly being premium or expensive is not a reason for failure. There are enough and more people who are happy to pay a premium for quality. Unfortunately, VW thinks only fast engines and robust body is premium and everything else can be ignored! and the VW cult is just unwilling to take alternate views or feedback. There are multiple factors which determine success in car market because consumers evaluate a purchase on a number of factors. And reliability and service quality is one of the most important. But again that is not the end all. For example, Honda even with reliability and good service is struggling. So, should the consumers be blamed for it?? Rather they need to take feedback and improve in areas they are lacking. Same is the case with VW. It needs to accept ad work in its very very very serious shortcomings and not hide behind the emotions of a small cult base. If they need to target biggers numbers, they need to be better holistically. Not everyone is as forgiving as die hard fans:) But if they want to shut their eyes on it. Goodlcuk to them:)

Later midsized accomodate 5 member comfortably with an increased dimensions in width, height & length with same 1.5 & 2.0 TSI Engines.

VW 1.0 3 cylinder is just a plain joke! 18 lacs for 1.0 3 cylinder! jaha 4-5 saal pehle Vento mein 1.2 turbo 4 cylinder aata tha! more refined, far better tech than 1.0 one! Diesel bhi bandh karke kya hi ukhada VW Skoda ne! Creta mein 4 disc brakes aata hai aur yaha Taigun mein wo hai hi nhi.
