Her family comes from a small town in NE India Silchar where till a decade ago a refrigerator shop stood bearing her grandfather's name and one of her cousins graduated from the Engg college there(1998) and now settled in U K ! Her parents migrated to UK. In fact she played an ODI for England vs India in 2009 at Silchar - her ancestral native place where her English manager prevented her from speaking to local jurnos in local dialect Bangla!!
