God I HATE this show after Season 2.

The show went downhill after season two... but I guess that while Steve was sweet and caring, Isaak made Aimee feel seen and challenged. Probably what she was looking for. So the problem wasn't Steve, he was fine, but Aimee needed something else.

@@idonotknow8503 I could buy it if the show ever portrayed Aimee finding Steve bland or "not challenging" to her, but the first seasons clearly showed that she was perfectly happy with him and only left to heal after bus trauma that made her distant from Steve and everyone else. She left for trauma/trust healing, not because Steve didn't offer enough. So, yours is a nice headcanon, but the series literally did nothing to send this message you try to convey. I at least totally didn't got it at all.

@@gianlucagiusti6174 I believe Aimee found herself bland and not worthy to be challenged, this is the point. In her first therapy session Dr. Milburn told Aimee that she was probably not going to be her old self ever again, that processing trauma meant changing and evolving. And it isn't a head canon, it's written on Aimee's face when Isaac tells her that she isn't stupid, just "her own person": Aimee was searching for herself the whole time.
