I think they're trying to say any woman could be Isabella. Anyone could be lonely and isolated. The typical "damsel in distress" is always a conventionally attractive woman. I think they're trying to challenge that notion by displaying various women who are unconventionally beautiful which I think is amazing

To me the video is fascinating. I feel like it's mocking the beauty norms in a sense. We live in a world where sugar and fats are in every single food we eat, which makes us overweight. At the same time, the beauty industry is telling us we should all be a certain way to look beautiful: be skinny, wear make up and your hair a certain way. That's why all the girls look the same (even little ones try to achieve the same look), the same as all the posters in the room which represent our idols, our models. It is obviously exaggerated, but only to emphasize how ridiculous we all look when trying to fit the norms society inflicts upon us.

so many people here talking about beauty and social norms, well it is, it's talking about social norms and the boringness of it and the alienation that it provokes in women. Beauty, ugly, dirty, washing, caring but the care is also poison, always between sweet and sour, all those inside closed doors, with so much attention to detail like there's a scene about the bath bubble breathing, the doing-nothing and waiting, the tatoos and the clothes. The aesthetics, in the philosophical sense. How this strange mix of beauty and rotten things shape a worldview and a worldfeel. So beautifully done. Thank you

What a brilliant train wreck of a video! I can't look away, but I can't determine exactly what it is I'm looking at. Like Muga said, its a direct challenge to everything that is the beauty standard put forth by the media. The music is pretty decent, too.

I think it is about finding your top, as it says "every bottom has a top". Which resembles a saying from my language, translated it means on every can there's a lid that fits it. It talks about vengeance, which is what you seek when a relationship you were in didn't turn out well. May it be on yourself, the other, or your future relationships(by becoming more vigilant). The song speaks about the pain of being cast away or not being the right "someone" for others. Then it says no pain no resent, they are trecherous hopes. Which means you can get stuck in resenting people for not accepting you or feel hurt because you weren't the person people expected you to be. People tend to wallow in self pity (pain) or seek vengeance (resent) when they showed part of themselves and weren't accepted. This song says that these experiences shouldn't cloud your judgement. And shouldn't tell you that in the future no happines awaits you. It comforts by telling the listener that there is a fit for everyone, as long as you stay open to love again you will be rewarded.
