Does the type of soil matter when building a semi permanent house? What are you supposed to add to the soil if it is the soft smooth type of soil( very light)

When you are within 30kms radius from a quarry or have your own transport, stones are cheaper than or equal to cost of bricks...You also overestimated the cost of stones...should have used an average of 70/-
