Also a big fan, similar age, but with longer grey beard. I didn't know they made big BMX bike's until I discovered your video on the big ripper. Remember being heart broken when I couldn't fit on my bmx after taking it out age 14. Discovered cycling again end of winter 2020 when I bought a 20year old specialized MTB I call RED that handled like a bmx so got converted. Had kid brothers bike I call BLACK stored in spare room over 20years. After he said I can keep it, I modified everything except for original frame n forks from 15speed to 24speed shimano with 175mm cranks, bmx knucklehead stem n German riser bars, mag wheels, comfy seat

Ya man, check out the mix of 29 inch BMX bikes out these days 🤘

Do you remember back in the 80's when some dudes put straws on their spokes most of which were lifted from fast food chains? I don't think they glowed at night but I always thought it was just a fad and now it's come full circle again with the spokes skins only now they serve a purpose not just for looks.

Love the purple accents on the bike. Ask Ride Out Supply about Jpegs on the front.

Did you feel like the hydro brakes give you better stopping power than the cable pull disc brakes
@BigBikeBMX3 жыл бұрын
The hydraulic brakes are insane for stopping power. It took a bit to get comfy with feathering then for wheelies, but I love them.
@raymondkelley17623 жыл бұрын
Yea I gotta get use to feathering with these hydro leavers
@williamw13323 жыл бұрын
...a little WD-40 adds a little slippage since the hydros work so well. 👍 ...oh, and I love my Fat Quad also. 😁

Have you changed the brake pads? If so which ones are good? Also I feel like my hydraulics feel like they need more fluid but it could the pad wear, still have to pull pretty far back
@BigBikeBMX3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t had to change the pads yet. It sounds like a quick brake bleed would make you brakes feel a little better
