Dude has been away for a minute because of a Xanax and drinking problem. This album is a recovery for him, so to speak. 2nd half of Stuck In The Mud was from that perspective. This is a conceptual album of dealing with those problems. He wasn't preachy, but you can def tell he has been through some shit the last 2 years.

Gotta be one of the smoothest albums I’ve ever heard. The House is Burning is far from a bad album but it’s definitely his worst album imo. Felt really rushed, despite how much time was between albums. I feel like he had many versions of that album and then just put a couple of quick songs together from over the years. Despite that it’s still pretty good but I felt like the beats mostly weren’t as good as his older albums and his rapping and songwriting was simply just worse
