When I was studying programming I had an idea for a Christian video game. It was going to be an interactive simulator where the events of the Bible are simulated and you are a spectator that gets to interact with those events. For example, for the sermon on the mount, you could be one of those in audience and as Jesus speaks you could walk around the audience and watch their reactions while you listen to Jesus' words. This game seems close to my vision.

I'm going to say this here as well. I spoke with Gate Zero about this game and they were happy to hear what I had to say. A long time ago when I used to play Assassin's Creed, I thought to myself "it would be so cool to see a Bible game like this." Low and behold they created this game. I told them I would love to join their team for I have alot of ideas they can use in it, but they're not hiring at the moment 😭😭. I used to imagine playing a game that aloud you to see and experience the Bible. From Genesis all the way to Revelation. A third person game where you're a spectator and trying to stay out of site as well. So if you got caught you'd have to start over lol. This game is going to be amazing when they keep beefing it up 😊

I have fond memories of Bible Adventures on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). 3 biblical games in one, all of them a blast to play. I still own the cartridge to this day. There have been a handful of Christian games since. So while this isn't the first, it is one of the very few. That being said, this is by far the highest production value and experience ever put into a Christian game.

How old is your Dad? My parents would say, that it is a waste of time for christians playing video games, because they already know the gospel, and should read the bible, fast, pray, evangelize (the old fashion way). And that you could easilly get entagled by playing games and get adicted and play the non christian violent games, instead of doing the "real work". In my opinion they might be partially right about some points, but they don't see that videogames are a good tool to introduce young non believers to the Gospel. Why would someone leave such a powerful tool only for the enemy to push his propaganda / agenda? Technology is progressing and why would't you reach for young people which are the most crowded places like the internet? Ps. My parents are 62, maybe that is one explaination for this mindset.

I only agreed on the point, that you could get addicted and play also other non christian games beside that, instead of doing real life things you should do. As an ex-gamer I'm telling you now, do not start playing a game just because some wanna be pastor says it's ok, because it is not! You will waste brain cells staring at a screen instead of reading your bible. Go out and fellowship with friends, fellow believers, go out and hand out tracts and share the good news of Jesus Christ, "the gospel". Do anything worthy of Christ besides sitting in front of a screen with a controller in your hands. This game is a tool of Satan to drag you away from what is really important and if this Isaiah Saldivar is pushing this as ok to do then stop following him as he is either a very deceived person or an agent of Satan. This looks really good. If still in development, here are a few suggested improvements, IMO. I would have the lambs bleat when you get close/pick them up, warning the surrounding sheep, and the wolves should be more menacing including, barking and growling at you (the player). The player should be able to yell at the wolves, grab branches, etc. to use whatever is available to them to defend themselves and the sheep.

We love to play a good video game with my daughter. We watched this video of yours with her and I asked if God likes this game. As I went to sleep, I dreamt of the player of this game in the game - he flipped something on the table so angry then I heard "harassment". I believe God is not pleased with this game. I learnt not to be lead by sight, everything always looks fine to us and so biblical, but whenever I ask God, He often has different idea about it. We need discernment of the Holy Spirit always. One of examples is when he enters Priestly room - it is breaking God's rule - just getting a priest's garment to enter. We think it is Just a game, God doesn't see it that way, because The game is molding people's mind for harassment.

This is one of my dreams after being a game designer, I would like to create an educational and historical game with basis of religion and Christianity with less violence ( though there are still fighting, cause conflict should be a main underlying element in creating an immersive plot, just not too much blood and gore)but more like of an adventure, deep story and engaging game mechanics in an open world setting. Btw, Gate Zero seems like on par with the game environment design of Ubisoft games. And I love how they also embed stealth mechanics in the game.

This game would be great as a tourist, changing form to get more information like the priest robes, but grabbing things randomly might make people like breath of the wild kleptos. Knowledge of the region could let you through some guarded areas. Not sure if there even is a necessity for a hero story, or if there is a hero, that his job is to learn as much as possible about the time and teachings of Jesus. Perhaps the calender is different in the story, so the hero goes progressively back in time, collecting modern testimonies and teachings, going further and further back until we witness Christ's resurrection, and Jesus says he will see you soon.

Any computer game has high potential of being addictive. Addiction for computer games is a current serious problem. And it gets to all ages. If it's a sin, that is not the question. It might do more harm than good. It could potentially be educative, with a balanced schedule. I myself played christian games when younger. I still remember. Better to be christian than violent (including blood, shooting, war, etc). If you cannot control your addiction by computer games, something else is controlling you. It opens doors. So, just pay attention to that and anyone close to you in that situation. Christian games definitely may be better🙏

Wow. This game can also be used as a visual concept for reading through the Gospels. I love this idea. Imagine reading through the Book of John and going on a mission in the city of Jerusalem to see Jesus speak to the disciples and teach to the peoples. Something that is pure, clean, honorable, this is so nice! I love this!
