"Fáros" a kiteboarding short film by Isak Anton Petersen in association with F-one and Manera.
Fáros is a video from my 2 week stay in Greece with some amazing kitesurfing. With western wind basically every other day I got to progress and have a lot of fun on the water, together with some other cool kitesurfers from all across the world. The non-wind days gave us a chance to explore the beautiful country and its culture.
“Fáros” is greek and means “lighthouse”. The main spot in the video is Drepano or Fáros Drepano. Where a big lighthouse is an iconic symbol of the spot. The lighthouse is still in use and despite its bright light, boat wrecks have been a part of the spot. Besides Fáros Drepano another excellent spot on the main land of Greece have lighthouses at the spots, here among Raches or Fáros Raches. The lighthouse in Greece has not only showed the way for captains over the years but also, kitesurfers and have truly become a symbol of some of the best spots in the world.
