HI! "Isang Daan" is actually the OFFICIAL UPLB Centennial Theme Song. The song is the grand winner among the seven finalists during the UPLB 19.09 Music Fest: Centennial Theme Song Competition and Concert held in DL Umali Hall, UPLB last September 2007. Happy centennial, everyone!

mas natuwa talaga ako sa video na parang scrapbook kaso di nafeature dito yung iba pang iconic symbols sa elbi estatwa ni Makiling sa likod ng thai temple Mini Kwek-kwek tower sa likod ng Baker yung mga bulate na nakakalat sa Animal famous Leaning Dao ng S.U. at Fertility Tree maging yung mga banga na nakakalat sa buong campus (o baka wala pa yung mga banga noong 2007)

hi ipisman. yeah. it really does sound amateurish. the version used here was the raw track submitted by ms. dayao to the centennial song competition in uplb. however, good news. the official version is available now. you may check the video response up there. it features the version where we got to work with music genius, ed nepomuceno. enjoy. :)

@llamaghawa - the only way UP can get into the top 100 is when the country itself becomes a first world country to be able to provide enough finances to the school. Which is something we likely will not see in the near future. But UP is already up there with the University of Singapore as the best schools in SEA, and that's a start.

Yes, "Isang Daan" is indeed the official theme song of the UPLB Centennial. What Male22Maroon probably meant is that it's the unofficial one for the whole UP System. I'm connected with both UPLB and UPD so I don't mind. ;)

@llamaghawa Each UP unit (Dil, Man, LB, etc) is working on a smaller budget when compared to other schools in its league, like Ateneo and La Salle, so it is understandable there may be shortcomings in certain areas. I'd rather have them keep pouring their budget into educational improvements than CRs. Although di ko alam saang UP napuntahan mo, maganda ang CR sa CAS Annex at yung new EE bldg sa UPLB.

@llamaghawa - Taken for granted na UP is one of the best in the country, yes, but there is little else to do when you have reached a barrier called corruption in the government. Ewan ko kung naintindihan mo na UP does not earn anything. Lahat ng pera ng school ay from the education budget ng government, at kinakaltasan pa ito. PGMA even had 250million peso cut out of the UP budget in her term. Considering na lumiliit ang budget ng UP ranking 200+ out of ten thousands is an achievement.

@llamaghawa - I think I should ask what is wrong with you rather you asking what is wrong with me. Kung bulok ang professors, the school wouldnt rank as high as it would according to world standards, meaning that education in the school is world class. Kung bulok ang UP, paano nalang ang ibang univ jan na sinasabing great facilities but hindi man lang maituturing na providing world class na turo? The big question here is, what's wrong with you at bakit galit ka sa UP? Bagsak? Kickout?

@llamaghawa @llamaghawa Panu kaya naging bulok ang UP? Kahit bulok ang facilities, as of 2009 top 63 best asian school, closest Philippine Competitor is De La Salle at 73, Ateneo @ 84 and UST at 144. Asan yung bulok? Kung sabihin natin sa World rankings, Ateneo lang ang lamang with a rank of 234, at ang UP sa 262 dahil sa may kasamang "international factors" ang criteria at mas kilala ang ADMU grads abroad, pero asan yung la salle at UST??? di umabot sa top 300.

@llamaghawa natatwa ako sa mga taong walng magawa... parang kung may langit may impyerno at kung may anghel, may demonyo... kung may matatalino may BOBO... ewan ko kung bakit mo pinagdidiinan na walng kwenta ang up dahil bulok ang mga facilities.. oo tama ka namn, di gaano kagandahan ang facilities sa u.p., kumpara sa ibang universities,,, pero bakit nangunguna... ewan ko kung anong gusto mong ipahiwatig... gusto mo lng nga bang mag labas ng sariling saluobin o gustong magpapansin...

@llamaghawa Feeling ko salita ka ng salita ng hindi mo alam ang sitwasyon sa UP. CRs can be forgotten when the quality of education is in the line. I'd rather keep the quality of education intact and improve if possible and keep the rank of one of the best in the country and focus my limited resources there, lalo na kung ang kakumpetensya mo ay palaki ng palaki ang budget. You are comparing UP with other schools na walang budget problem. PGMA even had like 250million cut out of the UP budget.

@llamaghawa - Sino kaya ang ignorante sa atin eh ni hindi mo nga alam ang ibig sabihin ng "bulok". One can only say something is "bulok" in comparison to something else. Paano magiging "bulok" ang isang bagay kung walang mas maganda sa kanya? You are saying UP is "bulok", but the only thing you say is that UP is bulok dahil sa maduming CRs. Napakababaw. You are just making yourself look stupid when you keep on going back here ranting UP is bulok without giving anything to support your claims.
