...also keep in mind there is a System parameter called "Category Knob Mode" which can be set to "Favorite" which will allow for this function to work without having to first hold down the Up Arrow button. (The three options available for the Category Knob assignment are "Category/User/Favorite".)

Great job as always, Alistair. One thing I would add is that when holding down the Up Arrow button, you need to turn the knob SOON THEREAFTER- or else the AE-20/30 will simply start scrolling up through the Scenes as usual (since you are after all, holding down the Up Arrow button).

Thanks for bringing this up Matt. Actually, even if the scenes start to scroll, as soon as you turn the category knob it will switch to the favourites selection. Good point about the options for the category knob mode. 👍

Friends, I don't know who to ask, I don't have any musician friends. Tell me which free or inexpensive software, program, application should I use with AE-10? I am a self-taught amateur who bought a used AE-10 after AE05. I really like playing music on an Aerophone, just for myself, but some sounds are not so perfect.. Thank you in advance
