The island of Ischia in the Bay of Naples is one of my favorite Southern Italian holidays. The beautiful hotel Il Monastero, spectacularly situated on the rock that houses the ancient Castello Aragonese, is the perfect place to stay and make the most of the spectacular view over the Gulf of Naples.

The food looks delicious Verena. What a great place to visit at this time of year. I love the citrus on the trees in Italy. The Castello Aragonese looks amazing surrounded by water. When you are in this part of Italy do they speak English? or do you know enough Italian to get where you need to go? I'd love to visit Italy again soon. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.
