Good morning. I would like to ask if there is an engine brake? I would also like to know what is the maximum speed and how much maintenance does it require? I've been watching it for a while now, but read a lot of negative experiences. What is your private opinion? Does the suspension work normally? Not too difficult?

Is it about energy recovery during braking? It is. The maximum speed is 45 km/h (27-28 miles) depending on the weight of the rider. I have this scooter and I can say that it works very well. The only defect that I have fixed at the moment is the battery suspension, because it is mounted on one holder, which is unevenly distributed and unscrewed while driving. I used an additional handle and now you can ride on uneven terrain. As for the suspension, it works flawlessly, although it requires adjustment at your discretion whether it should be harder or softer.

Hey Jake Billing, i like your videos much. I , myself have had this same scooter about a month. I have ride it 300 km. It is a good scooter, i got it from europe warehouse for 666 eur. I am 100kg man and i get just as you said 25km from it, with full speed mode. But i have 1 problem, i am really interested to hear if you have the same problem. When i put cruise control on (P05, value01) The cruise control goes on, but the voltage freezes. if it was 54V it would stay54V on the screen and when you restart the scooter, the cruise control stays on, but Volts show "--". It can be fixed when disconnecting display cable and reconnecting it, but then cruise conrol is off. I would appriciate it, if you could test it on your scooter. Iscooter itself did not know how to help me. Other than that, it is THE BEST scooter for 666eur. Absolutely recommend. Also you have to screw the suspension to max softness and try again. IT is way more soft and pleasable. Also did you notice the screws on the deck, on the back end? I unscrewed them and put some hot glue there, so they dont feel uncomfortable under the legs. Wish you the best man!

I own this scooter and let me tell you what I think after 4 months riding it. Since I paid for mine what I will say is just my opinion. Aesthetically it's very presentable and the specs on paper sound like the price is extremely good. But, there's always a but, this scooter was very poorly engineered. The bottom cover that covers the electronics and which is the closest thing to the ground after the tires, is made of hard, brittle plastic and mine has dozens of cracks already. The 11-inch wheels deserve 160mm discs instead of the 140mm it brings. The mechanical brakes do the job reasonably well, but I had to upgrade mine to hydraulic brakes because I hate the mechanical brakes feeling. The motor is certainly not 1000W but about 500W. Although it should be noted that it is not a speed motor but a torque one. Suspension is ridiculously useless. It would be better to have only one shock absorber per axle, as the double shock absorbers make the damping effect completely non-existent, even with the springs fully loosened. The display seems to have potential as it has Bluetooth and a micro USB port and although there is an application called iScooter, there is no information on how to use it with this scooter. The seller was also not helpful in this situation. And finally, I hope you never need the seller's assistance. Unfortunately my engine controller burned out and I got in touch with the seller to buy another one and I took the opportunity to ask for a new lower electronics plastic cover since mine must be on the way soon and the seller first told me he had no stock and that I had to wait a week or two to get the parts. After two weeks I got back in touch with the seller who said that there was a fire in a warehouse in Germany and that for 2 months there will be no stock of the parts. I soon realized that the seller doesn't care about helping so I ended up buying a better controller and ended up doing a series of upgrades to my scooter that should have come from the factory. In conclusion, would I buy this scooter again? Absolutely not. There are much better scooters at very similar prices that have proven to be better in quality, performance and construction.

What exactly are the laws with scooters because I've got no clear indication of what they are. I really want to get an electric scooter to commute around to my friends a few mile down the road and such and to just have a bit of fun. Don't wanna get in trouble though or lose the scooter

Most places scooters are the same as bikes rules. Usually they can't go on high ways but can ride on roads if there is no bike lane. 25 mph per hour max 500 watts usually is too. Anything more and you would normally need a motorcycle license to be fine id you are pull over otherwise you are fine.

@@DaStig My scooter turned up on time and in good condition. I haven't had a long test run as it started to rain when my brother arrived to try it out. It was ridden around my car park and back lane , then the heaven's opened up so we went inside. I'm reluctant to try it on the road as its much bigger than the rental scooters here and so obvious for the police to spot it's not a rental. I don't want points on my clean driving licence. My brother liked is so much he bought an ix5 , that's all he could afford. He tested it yesterday and said it was fine for him ( an avid scooter user ) he was well pleased with it. We can't test them properly as we are both tall and fat. He used his ix5 today and got a flat back tyer that would not pump up. I guess he has a puncher after an 4 mile trip out. I thought the tyers were meant to be tuff but sharp things will pop them especially with a fat bast.... sat on it..... That's all I can offer you on it

Have not used this scooter for very long; however so far it has met with my expectations very well. The iscooter ix6 build quality is immediately noticeable: hefty, tough feel with clean assembly and urban friendly features. Its wide foot base with front/rear disc brakes afford stability, while the dual wheel suspension and removable, height-adjustable seat provide comfort over bumpy roads. What helped make this foldable, electric scooter stand out are the colorful, changing LED lights along the sides of the deck, a key to unlock the electrical system, left and right turn blinkers, and a whopping 30 mph top speed!

@@liucassie9927 Yeah I think its an ok scooter too. I've still not used it but my brother's is working well. It does look sturdy too. I topped up the battery power as suggested, it had only dropped a little bit after no use whatsoever. I'm sure it will come in handy one day. The laws were meant to change this year , but the rental scooters are a cash cow in my City. And besides , after looking at scooters prior to purchase, top end scooters are thousands of pounds upwards. I have a legal ebike to go on with for now but I would like to use my scooter. It just sit there folded like an black Boston robo dog. I don't regret buying it. Thanks for your thoughts

Well I don't know. I am thinking to buying this but your review were not that useful as your other reviews which you have for other scooters. You are just telling us how good it is and you can't say any downside because you got for free. I received my iX6 yesterday and it was packaged very well and I will say it is well built and sturdy. Sure, the iX6 is 1000W power and the iX5 is 800W power, if you need more power, I suggest you choose iX6.
