Might be a stupid question, but those drives that are flashing frantically while Gabe the Slacker is installing features at minute 15:27, are those actual hard drives or are they tape drives? I cannot tell because from the shape they kinda look like tape drives and I had known they are still in use up to today and they can actually store hundreds of TB of data.

I have one of these cards sitting in an old motherboard (Some model of Asus P5B) with what I believe is a Core 2 Duo e6360 in it (used to run it around 3.0ghz-3.1ghz, back when you could buy the lowest model CPU and OC them to top model speeds lol). Just trying to see if there is anything at all that it could do in 2024 if I threw it in my current rig (Asus B550-F Gaming WiFi II/R9 5900x/6700XT 12GB/2x16GB DDR4 3600 C16 dual rank). Anything with video editing, for example. Been messing around with (first, no I'm not a bot advertising this) VideoProc Converter trying to enhance the quality of some of these drone videos we're seeing around the globe at the moment. I guess it's pointless to try, though. Surely there's nothing it can do better than a 6700XT. I did just read that it has 96 CUDA cores though lol. And this program supports CUDA. But... would it even work? Would it be slower than even, for example, using my CPU? On one hand, I am super curious, but on the other hand, I'm pretty sure it'd be a waste of time. I hooked it up to my PC as a second GPU sometime a year or two ago just to check it out. I was gonna see how it processed PhysX. It was tremendously slower than just using my CPU lol. I can't remember which game it was I tried it in. Witcher 3, maybe. Maybe something else. It's also GDDR3, so.. yeah. I'd throw it on eBay but they take over 30% of what you make with all the taxes and fees. It's not worth the effort to sell it for $20, box it, ship it and make $12. They even tax the shipping costs and add that into the fees and you pay both. Ugh. Anyways, saw a 16 year old video and just had to check it out haha..
