By any chance you still using the BattAir? Cause I have some questions regarding them and I can't get ISDT support to answer me either.
@shadowofchaos89322 жыл бұрын
I can see them useful in fixed wing rc. Flying line of sight without a fpv display, you could get a reading when you fly close enough.
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
Not sure even that would be close enough since it's bluetooth.

@@AlbertKimTV if it has the range of the insta360 go 2, it should work if you orbit slow enough, I think.

It will not be good.

It's quite interesting but the dongles are a bit on the pricey side especially if you would have many batteries. Do they remain on the battery during use or would you need to mark which battery they are paired with?
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
They can remain on the battery or you can take them off and put them back on again. You'll have to remember which one they are paired with of course because no data is stored on the battery itself.

Question, can I use these with a different charger? Auto settings aren't a big deal for me. But I love the cycle count, under voltage warnings and auto discharge. Does it still count cycles with other chargers?

Cool product for those big batteries

Hey Albert. Can you do a video series about lipo battery for FPVs in the future? The Dos and Don’ts, tips and tricks, recommended chargers, balancers etc .

Love all your videos btw

I made one 2 years ago but maybe I'll make an update video even though not much has changed.

Hello Albert. Which one would you prefer between the Q8 and the Air8? Thank you.
@AlbertKimTVАй бұрын
I think the Air8 is more useful.
@hristijandodevski6813Ай бұрын
@AlbertKimTV I thought the same since they have the same specs other than the plug ins. Thank you!

Nice. The info of number of cycles might be smart to be able to plan economicly for battery shopping :-)

Hi Albert, dies up record the time and date of the flight? Would be interesting if you could sync it with opentx logs
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
I don't think it does that.

Just started using my Battair's, I suppose you wouldnt know why the battair plugin refuses to update the firmware and resets back to original on completion within the air app.?
@AlbertKimTV Жыл бұрын
Sorry, don't know about that one. Perhaps you can contact their tech support?

It was not charging at 1C, it was charging at 1A
@MrAlucardDante2 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing. It’s either a bug or a wrong label in the app
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
😀
@CapnBry2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! So is it the app had the wrong units or it just doesn't work and 1A was the last value used when charging? These are really cool and I could see having ones as just charger presets I can swap between batteries so I don't have to use the charger UI.
@CapnBry2 жыл бұрын
@@Fly_High_FPV Indeed, but it seems charger manufacturers think they've reached the pinnacle of UI design with Up/Down + Button technology or a scroll wheel that only goes the right direction 90% of the time :( Preset buttons would be awesome
@MrAlucardDante2 жыл бұрын
@@CapnBry my guess is that the value in the app for c rating is mapped to the value on the charger for amps. In that case, it’s just a wrong label and can be fixed with an update. If Albert wants to try , he can change the value to let’s say 3 in the app and check if the charger sets the amp to 3

Cool gadgets. It would be nice if there were something similar on beginner quads that could auto-discharge batteries to storage voltage like DJI. Almost every used quad Ice bought came with batteries fully charged.

I'm unclear when you would use it? put it on just to charge? take it off to fly? and if you are flying ? you aren't looking at an app. if this is more than $2 a unit.... I'm not even sure why I'd spend $2. I mean I have over 20 batteries...
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
It's not for you. This is for a specific type of use that isn't what you would use it for.
