Mine is really loud too. The fan seems to go full speed right away. Wondered if it was a problem with my unit. Saw a few other reviews and it didn’t go as loud as yours and mine

Wonder why. I think when it powers up it does a check of the components. But overall, it's not loud when charging. Imo

Maybe its because here in the video is Mark II Version?

Yeah, I also have Mark II. Pretty loud but I guess I’m just living with it now. At least it works as intended.

Nice review. What’s the difference between the ISDT D2 and the ISDT D2 Mark 2 chargers? I don’t see the Mark 2 for sale anywhere except on Amazon. ISDT doesn’t even list the Mark 2 on their website.
@RandomHobbies203 жыл бұрын
Yea. That's where I got it from. I have had my eye on it for some time now. I really enjoy it!

and as far as the difference, I have no Idea. I think the mark 2 has some upgraded components for better stable charging and balancing I could be wrong tho
@timnafe26573 жыл бұрын
@@RandomHobbies20 I emailed ISDT as asked for the differences. Here's what they told me: D2 MK2 is the updated version of D2, D2 will be discontinued in the future. D2mk2 uses new technology to improve the reliability of the hardware, and adds parallel tasks, dual-channel tasks, DC power supply functions, themes, language types, and other power supplies.

@@timnafe2657 I bought the D2mk2 because some reviewer said the D2 was much quieter than the new K2. Just to find out that the D2mkII is as loud as the K2. The fan is on ALL the time. This seems to be a HUGE difference with the D2 which only had the fan on time to time

More amps per channel and ability to use CH1 as DC power input

Hello dear friend, can you briefly compare this to 608AC? Which is superior disregarding the dual output feature of D2Mark2.
@RandomHobbies20 Жыл бұрын
Other than the removable ac input, you can use larger MaH batteries to charge the smaller ones. This can be used when there is no power outlets. Out in the field charging. I haven’t tested personally, but can be slower of a charge, but nonetheless, it can get your batteries charged.
@muratcanbogatepe1169 Жыл бұрын
@@RandomHobbies20 Thank you, if there is only input type difference, D2Mark2's 2 battery simulaneously charging makes it a better choise I think. And heat dissipation looks better in my opinion, did you experienced any overheating in any of them?
@RandomHobbies20 Жыл бұрын
@@muratcanbogatepe1169 no. No overheating. They have decent cooling in both. The mark2 Is loud with the fans. The 608 is pretty quiet

There doesn't seem to be one, at all. Im curious as to what the % number is at the top when storage charging. The piece of crap quick start doc that comes with it is a joke. The D2 manual on the ISDT website is from 2017. Im starting to think I made a mistake buying this thing.

I would consult the user manual for that. This way you can see what types this charger can work for the material of batteries you are looking to charge.
@danielkonkol7541 Жыл бұрын
The firmware that comes with the D2 MKII does a terrible job of topping up the batteries in the final charging stage. It's meant to charge at a constant voltage towards the end by derating the current but it keeps peaking the current to the preset charge level where the battery voltage rapidly rises over the set voltage threshold which then the unit detects as charged/done! This stupid method doesn't give the battery a chance to top up properly and even as it does reach it's 4.2 volts per cell when charging, once the charging stops the battery voltage settles down as low as 4.15V per cell ! This thing desperately needs a revised firmware!
