ISDT Q6 Plus - how to fix impossible calibration

It may happen that these chargers are reading incorrect cell voltage. If it reads very wrong, it is not possible to calibrate the reading correctly.
0.25V (+/- 0.125V) is the maximum calibration possible.
To circumvent the problem, I calibrated every cell 0.1V up and chose LiHv charging with 4.3V cell voltage.
Then the charger believes that a fully charged battery has 4.3V per cell, while the actual voltage is 4.2V.
However, LiHv batteries can no longer be fully charged.

I have 2 SC-608s which cannot be calibrated properly, as the range of adjustment is less than the error amount. On one charger ports 2 and 3 are affected, on the other charger it is ports 5 and 6. Bloody brilliant workaround. Imma try this out tonight.

same problem here.. off about 1/2 a volt.. complete unreasonable. they need to recall these..

Sorry to hear about that. Make a video of the problem, and show it to the dealer. They might agree to send you a new one. I payed a small amount of mony for a new charger, because sending it back to China for repair (as I normally should do) cost me almost the same as a new charger. So I agreed to pay a small amount of money to get a new and tested charger with a newer firmware and hardware. This new charger has: HW 1.0.3.0 BL 1.0.1.4 OS 2.1.0.30 The previous charger has: HW 1.0.2.0 BL 1.0.1.2 OS 2.1.0.28 2.1.0.28 is per Dec.11 2017 the latest version you can download from ISDT website.

Same problem to me. I have HW 1.0.0.0 BL 1.0.1.0 OS 2.1.0.1 I will check with banggood.com how to deal with it

dudu du76 It's definitely worth a try. However, the staff who take care of issues like this, is not very educated. I spent some time explaining the problem. Even with videos, they asked totally non relevant questions. I payed $10 for a new one after asking them to find an educated technician to deal with this issue.

i did a bit a research on the net. I found out that a piece of hardware exists which allow to flash the firmware : www.banggood.com/ISDT-SCLinker-Firmware-Upgrade-Data-Cable-for-ISDT-Charger-p-1089207.html And, i also found an updated firmware on ISDT site. Below is a copy of the included "release note" inside the new firmware zip. Lol ! You are so right. Customer support is just pretending to me that it is a 2S-6S only charger. Not 1S. Clearly "not very educated" :) One question : Do you confirm the new one you received is working perfectly ? Which retailer was it ? Banggood too ?

Firstly that's obviously not his native language so it's at least one more language than I can understand or speak so well done. The world has 6,500 languages and talking slow and clear is the only way it can be understood by a foreigner or used by a translator app.

Just bought t6 lifts and it’s ell balancing is tragic. ISDT need their ass spanked for released such poorly calibrated equipment. SHAME ISDT!!

Well, that's how life is. You notice when something is wrong, but doesn't notice anything that is running smoothly. I think there is a relative normal failure rate on these chargers, so if you buy 10 of those you might have everyone in working condition. Out of "millions" of chargers out there, some of them will fail, and that is ones you hear about :-)
