Btw @lew, you are using the Q-Symphony wrong. The tv has to be close to a wall, and the speakers on the back of the tv bounce their sound off the wall. The Samsung Sound bar is trash, BTW. My dad has it, and it sucks. I went with the Sony HT-A7000. It is expensive but worth every penny!!!

Not everyone wants damn speakers everywhere
@01gtbdaily303 ай бұрын
Doesn’t the sound bar just act like a center speaker of a 7.1 surround sound system. I remember I used to have a giant speaker tower system made by Nuance many years ago. The front towers had powered subwoofers in them , a center speaker, 2 side bookshelf size speakers and 2 slightly larger rear speakers. It had the ability to be very loud and you could feel everything in the whole house but through technology I’ve seen much smaller systems recreate the same sound quality .
@stevenw9733 ай бұрын
@@01gtbdaily30 The complete soundbar/subwoofer/rear speaker package is meant to be 11.1.4. So not only does the soundbar act as the center channel, it also has speakers to replicate front left & right, side left & right, up-firing, front wide speakers left & right, and front height left & right. That would be your "11" Then subwoofer to make ".1" Then the rear speakers have front and up-firing woofers to make the ".4" channels Overall, it's a very immersive experience. But still no where near a true 11.1.4 system with individual speakers and makes no since to purchase considering you can get a true system for similar cost lol

That does depend on the size of the screen, though. The same number of pixels on a phone screen and a massive screen the size of a panel van does look different. On a gargantuan, wall-filling screen the pixels are larger and can be perceived with the unaided eye.

I have the soundbar. It’s great. These tvs have huge issues with the one connect box. It’s 40gbps not 48 so it drops signal from HDMI inputs really bad for any high end content. You try to push 4-8k 120hz or 144+ it’s going to black out every few seconds. The only way to solve this issue is to get the next lower model tv that doesn’t have the one connect box. In my case I returned the S95C that was a nearly $5,000 tv and replaced it with the S90C which is the next tier down OLED. The only difference is the rear speakers and the one connect box so eliminate the OCB and eliminate the signal drop out.

Over the years I’ve had several brands of TV’s. Two of the very best would have to be Loewe, Blaupunkt & of course Bang & Olufsen. They’re in a serious class of their own so one can’t really compare them to a Samsung. Out of all the ordinary brand TV’s I’ve had my 3 favourites would definitely be Sharp, Sony, Panasonic & Samsung. I have to say that Samsung has never once disappointed me. I’ve never had a Samsung randomly breakdown or put out poor audio or visual. This TV certainly looks incredible & I would have one but I’d be wanting to wait a while until the price drops first. I could just imagine how much this model would cost at today’s price. It would be great if that picture quality could be obtained this well from a projector on to the wall. I guess with time everything is eventually possible…. Usually at least.

i wish you could select what resolution to upscale to (i don't imagine there's alot of 8k content out there)?

Just imagine this beast of a display being curved on all the four sides just like their s23 Ultra (which is curved on the sides). I just can't imagine the sheer viewing extravaganza on hand.

I have the 85inch 8k model from 2 years ago with the 11.1 soundbar at my parents house and the latest 65inch Oled with the same soundbar in my apartment. I typically don't have to increase the volume past 10-11 to get crystal clear audio. I actually have never cranked it past 15 because it just starts shaking my entire apartment. Wild that you cranked that soundbar to 40

Samsung needs to update the software so the volume display isn't so intrusive. Put it in the corner. Only need to display the current volume too

Picked up the 2022 QN850B at Sam's Club, close out, for $1500. The upscaleing power is amazing. I have seen 1080p in such detail. I couldn't believe it was 1080p. I am sure this 2024 900 is awesome.

Ai Its converts a the lower res picture into a differed higher res component for texture upscaling a differed bit for placing edging enhancement later and lower res key placement pixels for the main image maintaining consistency between the early picture and later picture. Then the graphics processor can convert that to another refinement codec. Then another ai takes that information and pretties it up for the screen and the full higher definition picture. Differing can offer an alternative to deffusion from randomality.
