Internal discharge power is pointless. What matters is being able to externally discharge or use regenerative discharging. I know the ToolKitRC M8S has both and they are quite powerful. The power supply function of the Q8 is also quite weak (max of 5A). The M8S allows you to use the full 18A. Not sure why you would complain about voltage accuracy when you can just calibrate the chargers...

I noticed "numbers" in square blocks beside the first 5 "current" values in the list. These may be the profiles the OP wanted> I'll check it out when I get my charger this week.

7:38 I bought the Q8 to be my field charger, but I still always end up taking my D6+ instead, because two ports in the field are worth a lot more. So it's one of my home chargers that's always included when charging everything to go fly. It does an equal job as the D6+ for most applications, just on one port. The only thing I notice about it is that it sometimes took forever to finish a storage cycle, despite being super close to storage voltage for maybe 20 minutes. Maybe that was fixed in the update now.

Alright, definitely update here if you still see the issue. If there is an issue, I think users should all be made aware of it.

Either a Mobula7 or Beta65 Pro would be ideal for indoor flying. If more people pick up tiny whoops, we could have a regional tiny whoop racing league at the end of MCO LOL!

Hi! Does anybody can help with the issue with this charger? When I run self test, it gives me the error - Connection Check: Battery Present(211). Every connections is in places, it charge and discharge, but the error never goes away. And its also doest show the internal resistance for some reason on mu lifepo4 8s

Thanks for the video. Have you ever heard of the problem where if you leave a pack connected after you complete a discharge cycle and it kills the third cell (0V), this charger has done it to me twice now I have not updated the firmware yet though.
@KlystromFPV3 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that but no I haven't. Can you verify with multimeter if the 3rd cell is indeed dead? If it is, recommend you contact the retailer and see what they can do for you.
@harley58813 жыл бұрын
@@KlystromFPV yes third cell was definitely near 0v. I have two 7S packs. I was cycling them to measure the capacity. I thought maybe the first time he pack was just faulty. Second time on another pack, the same thing happened. The problem was when I was in a rush to go to work I just turned off the power to the charger and didn’t unplug the pack. So I would recommend not to leave the pack connected to the charger if it is not powered up. This may seem like common sense but I was in a hurry and thought it would be ok. I have since updated the os of the charger and hope it doesn’t catch other people out too. Apart from that I am very happy with the charger. Hope my packs are not damaged!!

I own the smaller compact version Q6 nano and it has a smaller screen now that I see hehe 😜 nevertheless it has serve my needs I have smaller lipo and ions and some nickel batteries but I actually like the last current used feature as it stores it and I don’t have to be running from 1A all the way down , I like the features of dc output for testing little loads on motors and more , idk but there is a clone version of every isdt mine says Q6 max and then there a pro . Anyways none of those have the ability to output dc and update with micro usb even though you really don’t need that update it works fine out of the box . One thing to note is that isdt should have the single option of with out charging balance the cells on any battery but then where will they make money out of the BG-8s balancer hehehe

It charges slow to me...is it because my DC input is only 12.1v?
@KlystromFPV3 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't be due to input voltage unless it's hitting the input current limit. Can you share the following: 1. What batteries are you charging? 6s or 4s? 2. What capacity are they? 1550mAh? 1100mAh? 3. Are you doing parallel charge? If yes, how many packs? 4. What's the charging voltage and current you set in the charger? 5. What voltage and current is being shown in the charger during charging?
