When covid first hit, my 6 year old step daughter told me the world is sick all together, and that because we had not taken care of our planet, our people are getting sick too. If we all just remember, the way children inherently know, that we are just a part of our world and that we are connected to each other and our planet maybe more people can have conversations like this. Yes, children are not yet so conditioned as we older people are. After I read a book called "The Great Waves of Change - Navigating the Difficult Times Ahead" (by Marshall Vian Summers) I kind of opened my eyes for the reality of this world. It's an amazing book because it doesn't only paint pictures of the future but also offers so valuable advice of how to prepare yourself and your family to be able to navigate basing on our deeper intelligence, Knowledge, that lives within each of us. Knowledge, that children haven't yet forgotten.

I think I've listened to and a read a hundred different analysts on these subjects over the last 4 or 5 years since I've become deeply interested in environmental / economic issues and Vandana is easily one of my top 3 favorites. Thank god there are such knowledgable, intelligent and passionate people out there. Having said that, I find this presentation extremely depressing as it mostly highlights how completely insane the modern human species is as a whole - a view I've had for decades. Honestly, I do not have much hope for reversing all of these negative trends without massive and widespread enviro and economic collapse that likely involve billions of people starving to death or mass die-offs from one thing or another - maybe 100 more covid-19s.

I totally agree with Vandana Shiva, that our vocabulary is one of the most important thing. I have been trying to fight the use of word Indian that represents indigenous. I think the first step should be to call Indigenous people by the name of their land. E.g Native Indians in US should be termed as native Americans. Those who owned Canadian lands should be Native Canadians. I feel the use of the term Indians by the colonisers to ensure that those who owned lands in that country should be snatched away, so as to not bear any resemblance, and any rights that accrue thereof. I request both the guests to help me in this endeavor.

The majority have fallen for the "BIG LIE " no not that one , Trump is not the issue; directly anyway. I'm speaking of RELIGION ; the personal God of Abraham the Muslim God the Christian God the Jewish God the catholic God the fictional God created initially to keep slaves from running away. The slave owners took a conglomeration of tales from pre- Christianity eras and combined them into a book touted as being the written word of the true God, in this book were included specific laws pertaining to slavery, if the slave was obedient and never attempted to run away the slave would be free in heavenly joy for eternity in the afterlife; the slave that was disobedient or ran away would suffer eternal hellfire for eternity. This worked so well an idea sprang forth. And voilla! Capitalist government controlled "slave society " was born . The church had revelatory powers of interpreting gods words to fit the changing society and when that wasn't enough then they would dissappear whole books of the lords words. As recently as 100 years ago they removed 20+ books of the Bible that conflicted with their goal for society and their unquestioned control over the slaves, I mean citizenry. Get rid of the false God of money (not abraham) it always was about money. ONCE THAT is done, the earth can heal the people can start to become what they are once more and empathy will replace egoism. Animals will no longer be looked at with mouth watering and stomach rumbling. Unconscionable to think of eating dead flesh instead of vegetable as humans were meant to. Look at our teeth. No ripping teeth found in carnivorous species. Did you ever notice that the species we do eat all subsist in vegetable for the nutrition we get a small part of by eating their flesh? Hmmmmm

With the Science and Technology we have now we can do far better than this. Throughout this Covid 19 craziness, I am thankful to live near by three churches that give out vegetarian friendly food. 🥰Apparently, people are ungrateful bunch not picking up FREE salad kits, large packs of cole slaw, mixed vegetables packs, cheese bricks, big packs of apples, pears and even green grapes... 😳😱Just boxes and boxes of free fruits and vegetables right there waiting to be eaten. 😋Around where I live there is no excuse to go hungry. And you don't have to attend church or be a member. These are churches that practice the true words and life of Jesus Christ. There are even schools that give out a week worth of free lunches to families. From March 2019 to Oct 2019 I didn't need to buy any food at all. The churches gave me all that I needed for every two weeks. They even gave us milk, juices, and dessert in form of cookies. We were really blessed for such places being close. During shut downs, the air cleared up and birds, butterflies and many other wildlife came back. There are even a family of Great White Egrets living near by. Just today I saw a pair fly over my yard. Massive white birds. 🥰😍Nature most definitely took advantage of human lock down. We should do these lock downs more often to balance the Earth! Have the trillionaires and billionaires who are obsess with power and control to have power and control over something that actually benefits everyone and sponsor these four months of lock downs to heal the planet. Trying to understand the motivation behind the thanking essential workers. This means other peoples jobs are non essential. This would make vast segments of the population non essential. I only mention it due to the length of time it was used in the presentation. Affixing value to the worth of a person's job is another form of division. When they run out of enemies to create they will make you the enemy. Here we go again 2030. When we come to realize that this has been carefully planned we are one step closer to the solution. When the illusion of freedom is no longer profitable freedom itself becomes non essential. Beware the terms sustainable development, the new green deal, build back better, the great reset, the fourth Industrial Revolution. Both speakers make valid points, but words mean nothing if the application is curtailed by the few.
