Thank you for this. My brother's and I trained with sensei Ishikawa and sensei Foos in Virginia Beach and this brings back such fond memories. I am almost 60 now and still remember the teachings . My dad used to illustrate some of the schools journals as well and I still have one but unfortunately no longer have the rest. Thank you for uploading this, he was unmatched and I was very lucky to have been taught by him.

Wow, thanks for posting this. I remember at the end of every practice Sensi loved to play Gomoku (Five in a Row) on his go board. He would break out his pipe and board and call us to play while we were waiting for our ride home. Did he tell you the story of how his heart stopped and how he beat his chest to get it going again? In Japan he would jump into a cold river after practice and one day it was so cold it shocked him to the point that his heart stopped. He had to do his own cpr by beating his chest and got his heart going again.

No one teaches this kind of judo anymore. It's a lost art.

We were lucky enough to have the best teacher ever. I truly believe that.

My trainer tom ,teaches the judo of tokio hirano. There are a few masters who teach this judo. It is not completely lost.

The more I enjoy judo and pay attention to him, the more I understand he truly knew what he was doing. I could point out so many details, yet words directed at random people wouldn’t do justice to his skills. It only makes sense for good observers. My only regret is that you didn’t upload a longer, fuller version. ¿Is this the whole material you got from him? ¿Could you, please, share more with us?🥺🥺
