Binged it all on day 1, loved it to death. So much charm with this cast. I’m halfway through the anime, so I was nervous for sure, considering how attached I am to how things actually are. Even with the changes made, this is an awesome live action and I wouldn’t make it any different!

"every episode feels like a whole movie" because each episode is structured correctly like any traditional filmmaking would. there's act 1 (new problem), act 2 (problem getting worse), act 3 (solving the problem), thus giving the viewer somewhat intact and complete experience each and every episode. this isn't something that a normal 22minutes runtimed episode of one piece anime can do everytime. they have 17 minutes of effective duration, but the utilization of it relies on how the studio had planned for each arc's spread, which doesn't always contain the same level of progression. an episode could feel like it's moving fast but the next week's episode feels like nothing really happened. the single biggest weakness of how one piece is animated, but it's also tied to how they monetize. so, make of that what you will.

I know what you mean by the Sea King not seeming scared. Lol, but in the anime they make the sea king blink cartoonishly with sweat drops 😂😂. They couldn't do that in the live action, so they made it's eyes dilate (bigger), which I believe is an accurate reaction to fear, and you can see it shake its head back and forth, as if something is irritating or hurting his head....Haki! I love this scene so much in the live action!

Of course one of the worries will be how many seasons, Netflix does have a habit of 3 to 4 seasons (Im told this is due to their business model) and If they stick to 8 episode seasons there will be a lot of trimming, Though Im trying to be optimistic. My worry about the Early reveals is that it will potentially spoil for people watching the anime especially if people are pre Ennies Lobby

Yeah, I don't forsee too many seasons. Either cost will get too high, to where Netflix says no, or too much will eventually get cut and ending up not as good and cancelled that way. Probably won't get to Summit War Saga if I had to guess.

Weird how they put the Kuro bounty poster in the safe in clear view, but then never bring it back. Wonder if that was a reshoot/rewrite scenario. I wonder if originally Zoro was going to go back to the ship during the night and see the poster in the safe, picked it up, and that was gonna be how they did the reveal. And maybe intercut Zoro uncovering the poster with Merry's death. Just seems weird for them to set that poster up so blatantly, and then for nobody to go back and look at it, even after episode 4.

Psychosis is a interruption in one's relationship with reality. Whereas psychopath matches what you're looking for. Psychotic and psychopath are not synonyms. These are too completely different mental illnesses. Psychotic is usually an anxious break from reality though it's not always. I'm not gonna dismiss a rage split from reality. Psychopathy is the lack of empathy and it's genetic. Once you inherit psychopathy you can't undo it. Sociopathy is social. It's usually triggered by some form of abuse from parents to their child at an early age. So it's also possible that you mean sociopath. Psychopathy and sociopathy are both part of anti social disorder. There are two of the forms that antisocial disorder, finds this expression. When a character is being particularly evil has no empathy for the people that they're destroying and is also not capable of actually having genuine feelings towards other people, then it's psychopathy. Psychopathy cannot be cured. The person just has to cope with not having generally normal emotions. But if they never come to the conclusion that they're psychopathic, then they will never understand that they don't have normal emotions. If the person thinks everyone is out to get them that's moreso towards psychosis. Paranoia and anxiety are common triggers for psychosis. Even neuroticism can be in the same ball park of psychosis. Buggy is a psychopath. He's not a sociopath because he's not exactly charismatic. He kind of has no real understanding of humans. A sociopath is generally more likely to understand people. They just cannot build a connection because of some abuse that happened early in their childhood as well. I don't know if sociopathy can be cured. That's far as I know it hasn't been. I guess that's just the level of damage that often is very difficult to undo. If someone is psychotic they have psychosis.

Same for the whole thing with Shanks "betraying" Buggy in Live Action As for the thing with his feet, that does seem to be an oversight by Netflix.
