There's a quote by an Americal lawyer (once considered the best lawyer in the world) that goes: "A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman. But a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist” I can't think of nothing more suited to you, Ishitani-san.

The furniture is amazing but I also love the audiovisuals, very soothing. No music, the volumes and sound textures, footsteps. I feel like I'm getting a taste of the spirit of the place. Oh piano, reminds me of minecraft haha.

I've never seen the two-step tenon holes before and it is a stroke of genius! Great way to conceal the visible part of the tenon. Thank you again for your never-ending inspiration.

I simply love your videos. The editing style, even the shots that don't have anything to do with woodworking. As someone else said, I get a feeling of what it would be like to be in your workshop with you. The fact that you rarely show your face in your videos tells me you are a humble man, and the work that you produce proves that you are a craftsman of the highest order.

Find a way to get out and make something man, it will help a lot! There are usually public shops in larger cities if you don’t know anyone who’s space you could use and you don’t need all the fancy tools. Simple hand tools can do the same job it just takes longer
So many cool things in this video - wedge making, the scissor lift bench, the leg angle marking... so cool - thanks for sharing

I wake up in the morning and watch one of your videos to remind myself to slow down and enjoy the process. it's so easy to forget that i LIKE woodworking when i start focusing on time too much. and the funny thing is, relaxing and focusing on the work doesn't make it take any longer. Because, in the end, I make fewer mistakes and burn out less often. I've learned a lot about technique from watching you, but learning to enjoy my craft again has been a gift. Thank you so much for posting these videos.
