Finishing oil-wax : Lappenwachs/KREIDEZEIT.
We are bending wood with irons.

Gorgeous chair! I love the joinery. I hope that you do well selling them. I hope to make some chairs someday, as there is no way I could ever justify the expense of beautiful furniture like this. Really is gorgeous though. Building a stool now that I believe will bring me one step closer to feeling confident enough to build a chair.

I have psoriasis pretty bad affecting my hands and have to wear gloves at work, and whenever handling anything. I also need them for grip, as my hands get so dry and scaly that to keep from dropping things I need to hold them so tightly that I crush them. Or drop them. All that said, beautiful work. I love implementing ideas from others in work I do, and this joinery will be exciting to exciting to try! Thanks!

I struggle with atopic dermatitis as well, and when I am woodworking, the sawdust of certain woods extremely irritates my condition. I however still dont wear gloves, because I dont feel safe. If you choose to wear yours, more power to you. Just be safe and keep up the good work!

Excellent , as ever. What a pleasure to watch a master craftsman with his tools playing a symphony on the wood... I have just one observation - at 12:19, where the legs meet the seat, is it possible to hand cut the shoulder to match with the angle? This would a) enhance the visual appeal of a well carved joint and b) add to the strength of the already strong joint, as the pressure of the weight borne would distribute equally around the shoulder than being focussed on the highest point of contact. Sure, the shoulder is not actually bearing the weight, the joint has been strengthened by the taper wedges driven in from the top, but eventually the shoulder has to be defined for the purpose. This observation comes from a metal working mech.. engineer, who knows little about wood and its joints.
