Great material I wished I saw long ago ;) Isiah was my main basketball inspiration and hero. Living in Detroit and being there for the parades. I woke up early in the AM to practice as I was short (5'8). Just played on the street but still ;) I can't believe his finger tip dribbling. Man the memories, the games his and mine, now I am only a few years younger than Isiah and can't subject my body to it. Play with guys your own age. Hmm guess that would work ;(. Thanks Isiah for everything. Fun vid

To bad Isiah did not step to MJ and throw him a fundamental handshake😬. This was a break from coaching, discipline and education instilled by his mom, pender&coach knight. But, MJ stepped in as a parent&coach to personally teach Thomas a life lesson about being a good boy not a bad boy and good sportsmanship. The Piston Captain's leadership slight with Lambier and teammates, incensed Jordan. MJ declined to play with the Olympic team if Thomas was on the team. Although Thomas was considered but he was a Olympic sportsmanship public relations nightmare. Thomas's poor relationships with several others including Magic, Bird, Malone and MJ also gave the selection committee cause for non selection. Magic said in his book, basically no one wanted to play with Thomas. Thomas supposedly was a part of a "all star" group which plotted against Mike to limited Jordan ball touches. Mj caused a huge light to shine on the negatives of a Thomas selection. To this day, it haunts Isiah. Jordan as Thomas indicated ripped his bad boy and Piston flags from the small hill and threw the team into irrelevance. The Piston franchise has never recovered from their last Jordan Bulls team playoff harpooning. Isiah's admirable two peat is considered lightweight compared to Jordan's two three peats. 🤔 And, Thomas' dream of staying in competitive standing with Magic and Bird as a group was DESTROYED. BIRD has 4 rings and MAGIC has 5. Isiah made MJ so made and motivated he won 6 rings and could have possibly won more if not for team bungling by Krauss and Reinsdorf. All this to say, along with the fundamentals, Sportsmanship can also take one a looooong way. Isiah, Pass it on!
