Asalamualakum I just wanted to know if drawing digital(on ipad/computer is allowed please let me know as I used to draw troditionall(on paper) when I heard it was prohibited imideately I ripped all my drawing a few days later I ask my qauria(quran teacher) she told me that it is true that drawing traditionally is prohibited she also told me It was perfect to draw on digital as long as I don't print it out.

Being an artist this is one of my largest confusion about Islam. My thoughts are absolutely similar to you though my own little research on islamic texts though I am not a scholar of fiqa. But can you say why most of the and majority of scholars give fatwa of the very opposite? (｡•́︿•̀｡)

Moses allowed art [See Ak of the Covenant] Prophet Solomon allowed art. [Look at Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem which had painting AND sculpture] Jesus never forbid it Paint/Draw as much as you wish, just don't worship. Islam is wrong.

@@Dr.Mehetab Believe as you wish. God will guide everyone to the right path. But Jesus said there woud be no new religion after him. Any new religion afterwards is just to trick. Jesus is better morally and spiritually. He never alowed mutah [prostitution] like Muhammad did.

@@rowenmaka1093 brother, you have misunderstandings prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) never allowed prostitutions . Farther more there are foretells of the last messager in your bibel also refer: Gospel of Jhon ch 14 v. 16, ch 15 v. 26 ,ch 16 v 7 and my favourite ch 16 v 12-14. So Islam was always there from Adam (peace be upon him) to Jesus (peace be upon him) and prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) just carried it forward in the most beautiful way. Hope God will give you hidayat (true knowledge).

@@Dr.Mehetab you are wrong. He allowed mutah [prostitution] for 8 years until the batte of Khaybar when Islamic soldiers were away at war. Both Sunni and Shia scholars are in agreement. The Shia still practice it. None of the prophets of God alowed this behaviour.

I'm not Muslim, in fact I don't follow any religion. This video was randomly suggested to me by KZbin. I find the explanation very interesting, but I don't understand what is permitted and what isn't. For instance, does Islam approve Mozart/Beethoven/Schumann/Chopin/Liszt instrumental music? Is it correct for a Muslim to go to the Louvre museum? What about paintings, sculptures, etc.?

For myself I do not find any problem with listening to Mozart and going to the Louvre Museum , but there is a traditional attitude in the Islamic World that consider these arts prohibited . I think that this attitude was influenced by their historical and cultural context and factors , which led to the association of music with drinking and adultery , and the association of paintings and sculptures with paganism . But as I said , for me I enjoy art without these constraints because I know that these associations are not real , and were only based on certain contexts .

Look at Shia and Sufi they've music and artistic values. Sunnism has destroyed Islam and rationality yet have audacity to called Shia Sufi kufr. Learn Shia hadith if you want to know real wisdom, learn Kuraniun believe if you want Allah word, learn Sufism if you want high spiritual, learn from Mutazila if you want secularism human rights, learn from Sunnism if you want mindless ignorance marked as a way of life.
