Those are not ethnic Croats but Bosniak and most Muslims in today's Croatia trace their background outside Croatia. The only Croatian Muslims are converts which are very very few. Even Montenegrin Muslims are ethnic Bosniak, same as "Serbian Muslims", all ethnic Bosniaks.

Rustem pasa is referred to as a Bosniak by Tayib Osman-zade Ahmed, author of Hadikatul vuzara and the Turkish encyclopedia Kamus-ul-alam. There were no other muslims regions, there was only Bosnia, all of those Muslims were in 18. century chased away to interior area of Eyalet Bosnia and Christians destroyd over 250 mosques in Dalmatia, Lika and Slavonia. Parents of the "Croats" are Bosnian Muslims and "Montenegrins" are also Bosniaks from the Sandzak region. Sandzak was 150 years ago part of Eyalet Bosna.

Those are not ethnic Croats but Bosniak and most Muslims in today's Croatia trace their background outside Croatia. The only Croatian Muslims are converts which are very very few. Even Montenegrin Muslims are ethnic Bosniak, same as "Serbian Muslims", all ethnic Bosniaks.
