I am a BANGSAMORO Muslim from Mindanao Philippines. Islam came in the Philippines earlier than Christianity (Roman Catholism). It was only during the Colonization of spaniards when Roman Catholism was established. They were the ones who brought this religion in the Philippines. Philippines was named after the King of Spain King Philips, and those who followed them(Spaniards) and converted to Christianity were called Filipino. And Muslims who fought for the sake of Islam are called Bangsamoro (ethnically).

And we can't change kung ano man ang reality and at the same time we can't force everyone to believe what we believe. Katulad sa relihiyon namin na Islam na ang turo ay Walang sapilitan at tinuro sa amin ang pag respeto sa ano mang paniniwala ng ibang relihiyon. In terms naman sa pag practice ng relihiyon namin para sa akin it doesn't matter if you live in a Catholic country or not, so long as yung country ay binigyan kami ng free will para mapractice ang relihiyon namin kasi no matter where you are kung devoted ka talaga sa relihiyon mo and you are sincere at the same time, mapapractice mo kung ano ang turo ng relihiyon mo. Pero kung ang isang bansa ay hindi kami bibigyan ng kalayaan para mapractice ang turo ng relihiyon namin which is mga tunay na katuruan ng Islam na hindi naman nasisira ang ibang tao, hindi magiging madali sa amin ang pagpractice nito. Halimbawa sa isang bansa ay ipagbabawal ang pagiging conservative, para sa mga devoted christians katulad ng mga madre na nagsusuot ng veil at modest dress, paano nila mapapractice ang turo ng relihiyon nila kung ipagbabawal ang pagiging conservative, na pagbabawalan silang magsuot ng veil and modest dress. Same concept din para sa amin. Kaya napakahalaga na magkaroon tayo hindi lang ng respect. We should learn our differences at the same time para maintindihan natin kung ano man ang mga bagay na dapat nating intindihin. 😊 PS: This is only me, my only point of view. People no matter what religion they have will always differ from one another. 😊

Very grateful when the king in my ethnicity converted to Islam and his followers converted to Islam even though the Dutch came to Indonesia to colonize and spread Christianity by colonizing Indonesia for 350 years even though Indonesia is a majority religion of Islam and we don't use Dutch and we still use our mother tongue (Bugis) thanks to Allah SWT who still loves us and we are not tempted from the evil of leaving Islam because right by the Netherlands

Don't spread fake information here, I'm a Tagalog and even before the Spanish came here, many coastal towns are always weary and in fear of Moro Raids that always kills men and abducting women and children to be sell for slavery in the South. And for your Information, before Islam came most the current Areas of Muslims in Mindanao are practicing a mixture of Hindu-Buddhist Tradition with Animistic Folklore Beliefs. And even after they established themselves their, Muslims there are practically practice a brand of Syncretic Islam called Folk Islam which still retains most of the former Hindu-Buddhist Traditions. Aside from that, most of Mindanao Indigenous Tribes are really Animistic in nature and don't conform to the enforcement of Islam to them by the Muslims. That's why most of them goes in the Mountains.

It's a fact that Islam came first through muslim traders and missionaries such as Sharief Abu bakr and others, therefore Islam spread in the Philippine not because of violent whilst Christiniaty came after Islam and spread through coercion and violence. By the extent of my understanding of the Quran & the Bible, I don't consider myself now a Moro nor a Filipino by my FAITH & BELIEF in Islam by the Quran Alone as the TRUTH & Allah's swt Only & Ultimate Purpose, Laws & Guidance of Life for all of Mankind from Adam till end of time, their Only Path to Eternal Life in Heaven. All else in this temporal Earthly Life not by the Quran are sure Path to Eternal Hellfire. Such brand or name as Moro or a Filipino is a corrupted identity of our true identity as Muslims since Adam as first Muslim & 1st Prophet of Allah swt by the Quran Alone as the TRUTH, from him (Adam) & Eve we all came from as his true descendants till all the next & last generations to come after us. Majority of the people willfully neglected to read, understand & live by the Quran & if not forgiven by Allah swt of their sin for such neglect they will surely land in Hell. Majority of people claiming now as Muslims are not Muslims by their common & willful neglect of the Quran to read, study. understand & follow as their Only & Ultimate Way of Life. Their being not a Muslim is clearly manifested in their way of life as being not by the Quran. A true Muslim by the Quran has no great Satanic desire for Earthly things more than their desire for the Hereafter: Heaven. I have been to almost all Christian sects trying to find the TRUTH & it was not until I started my study of the Quran that I was able to find the TRUTH by the Mighty Will & Guidance of Allah swt. Wrong teaching of religion & education by words & books of men is what corrupted Mankind of the TRUTH. Religion & Education are by the Quran Alone as Allah's swt greatest Mercy to Mankind.
