Dude it's mma! In a grappling fight, Moises would have had a much better chance of beating Makhachev. Moreover, he is not far from succeeding the heel hook at the end of the 3rd round but it is mma and there are strikes from all sides to take into account.

I’m not sure about that. Khabib was definitely better at using aggressive and tricky striking to set up takedowns to the fence, but Islam’s fence wrestling was just as good, his clinch fighting even better. Moises just had a very good bottom game and decent wrestling, so we just got a high level MMA grappling match.

That getting cage time theory is nonsense, Islam has over 20 fights, is quite a mature fighter, look at Kahmzat he has less than 10 fights experience and doesn't waste no time finishing people, why risk getting knocked out?
