This talk was delivered at the Muslim Community Center - East Bay (MCC East Bay) in Pleasanton, California in about January 2015.
About Ustadh Dr. Ali Ataie
Ali Ataie is a perennial student and researcher who has been involved in interfaith activities for over two decades. He holds a Masters in biblical studies with a focus on New Testament and biblical languages. He also holds a PhD in cultural and historical studies in religion from the Graduate Theological Union. His doctoral work focused on Muslim hermeneutics of Biblical texts, especially the Gospel of John. He lives in San Ramon, CA with his wife Roya and three daughters.

Pity the other lectures are lost. This could easily have been on par with Yasir Qadhi's now classic Seerah series, but from more of an angle from Dr. Ali's linguistic and judeo-christian training. Redoing it is a must. JazakAllah.

qira'at were in times were no man can read or write only few throughout all Arabia and every tribesmen only knew there local tribal dialect. when they can't read written passages how could they memorize the quran in the quraishi dialect. so God made it easy for them to memorize by revealing quran in their qiraah. but Christian polemics have always been blowing this out of proportions to introduce doubt
