"Allah" is just "al-ilah" (literally means "the God") shortened. And "Allah" is just Ahura Mazda by a new name. They took Ahura Mazda (now calling him "the God"), added in some stories about Moses, Jesus, and Abraham. Incorporated a bit of pagan worship practices - Ramadan, circling the kaaba, etc. And then you have the magic mixture that is islam.

All I ever see from people in this religion is anger, hatred, pride, lust, and an inability to control emotions, along with a perpetual desire to be argumentative with everyone, just as prophesied. The church of the Holy Sepulchre held a similar practice of revolving around the supposed tomb of Jesus on Easter and then brought the light out of the tomb as do Muslims in the Kaaba but on Easter. There is also a rock right at it's entrance that people who come in may kiss it.

I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life."[1] 7. English author Thomas Carlyle in his 'Heroes and Hero Worship', was simply amazed: "How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades."[1] 8. And Diwan Chand Sharma wrote in "The Prophets of the East": "Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him" (D.C. Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12) Muhammad, peace be upon him, was nothing more or less than a human being, but he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God' and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.[1] 9. Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, Sarojini Naidu says: "It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother." (S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169)[1] 10. In the words of Professor Hurgronje: "The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." W Montgomery Watt an Emeritus Professor in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Edinburgh wrote: "His readiness to undergo persecution for his beliefs, the high morale character of the men who believed in him and look up to him as a leader, and greatness of his ultimate achivement all argue his fundemental integrity. To suppose Muhammad was an impostor raises more problems than it solves" ( Mohammad At Mecca, Oxford, 1953, p 52).[2] 14. If islam was a false religion, then why the need to make it too strict and too hard to follow? Why not make it easy for people to follow since it's just a deception? @@popsy5676 So much! It has the solutions to all problems today. Where to start? Islam came to preserve 5 necessities which are the intellectual and tangible proofs of Islam. 1. Religion. That's why paganism, polytheism, atheism are forbidden. They turn people away from their Creator and they start following their subjective desires which causes lots of harm individually and collectively on the society. 2. Intellect. That's what alcohol (and other drugs, hitting in the head/face, etc) is forbidden. Those things are destructive individually and collectively on soceity. 3. Wealth. That's why interest and gambling are forbidden. It makes the rich richer and the poor poorer. A few utilize the wealth of the world to make people poorer for their own sake. 4. Family. That's why fornication and adultery are forbidden. They break families and the breakdown of society starts with the breakdown of the family. Most of our social ills today are from this! None of these are good for us, individually or collectively. They destroy societies. When you have no guidelines, you will destroy yourself without knowing.
