All the worst things seem to come out of France, at least from the Enlightenment (so-called) on wards. Every generalisation admits of exceptions of course but as a generalisation I think its not completely untrue.

I think this has a lot to do with the loss / delay of marriage in Western culture. Taking care of a child is large imposition on personal liberty, so only those who passionately want children will meander into it. I think marriage already puts some constraint on personal liberty, and then having children is seen differently, as a way of elevating what is already being cultivated.

The proliferation of soul destroying industries and a worship of end stage capitalism has made the family unit obsolete, instead perusing worship of the flesh and worldly possessions. This runs far deeper than I can comprehend. It is like a parasitical disease, proliferated through the Bretton wood’s system and slowly but surely reaching a cultural implosion.

Elon Musk's issue regarding birth rates has to do with the reduction of white birth rates. Also, a lot of these Western traditional religious thinkings revolve around wishing a reinstitution of roles determined by gender. The reduction in testosterone and increase in chronic diseases has a lot to do with obesity, a consequence of consumerism. I do get rather tired of hiding these wishes within a morass of tangentially related stuff.

I watched a lot of this and wasn't convinced that declining human populations is a problem. It is a possible contributor to alleviating the mass extinction of non-humans.
