Support education even if you are poor. Prophet Muhammad pbuh reportedly said " the seeking of knowledge is mandatory upon every Muslim, male and female." When the Muslims had prisoners of war those prisoners who could read were given their freedom if they taught ten Muslims to read. Education was made a matter of high priority during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad pbuh. He also reportedly said that any man that would educate at least two daughters would be granted Paradise. These are just a few of the saying of our dearly beloved Prophet pbuh that strongly encouraged education. And not only was the first five verses of the Qur'an revealed to the Prophet dealing with reading, writing and education, but ALLAH swt teaches us in the Qur'an to pray "Rabbi zidni ilmaa..my Lord increase my knowledge."

As Salaamu Alaikum! I have been traveling to and from Africa since 1997, and I know that the majority of Muslims in Africa identify with Imam Malik and the Maliki school. And in West Africa it is common to attend Salah at a Masjid or any gathering and have part of the people with their arms down by their sides while the others have their arms folded across their mid section with their right hands stop their left. Now many people think that those with their arms hanging down by their sides are Shi'ite, but that's not true. They do that because when Imam Malik refused to submit to the corrupt authorities during his time, he was tortured and beaten to the point that he could no longer fold his broken arms so they were left dangling my his sides. Therefore those praying behind him in prayer let their arms hang down as well.

In the Bible, it says "As a body without a Spirit is Dead, so is Faith without works Dead". In the Qur'an ALLAH swt says:" by time(Asr) the Human being is lost, except those who have faith and Good Useful (productive) Works, and exalt one another with Truth and Patience." As Salaamu Alaikum!!
