I met Imam Siraj several times at the Majlis as-Shurah in the early 90's, and I am glad that he has grown in his understanding of the NOI and reduced his bitterness toward them. It is indeed the condition that should be considered, and in the condition we were in we needed the teachings of the NOI, just as those companions of Prophet Muhammad who were allowed to wear silk because of their skin condition. Allah is Ar-Rahman: The Compassionate. We are constantly growing and evolving.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Mostly all black american Islamic roots go back to Elijah. Elijah civilized and separated the mind of black America enough so they could embrace Islam. Next, nobody ever negotiated the oneness of Allah. Allah always works with man thru man. Master Fard Muhammad made his will one with the will of Creator and this oneness made the spirit of Allah work thru Fard to touch human life. Allah always works with nan to get to man. Nobody ever taught that Fard was the originator of the heavens of the earth. Fard himself prayed. Everyone understood that the originator is not Fard yet Allah’s will worked thru Fard. Next, scripture indicates Allah breathed his spirit in man then ordered the angels to make obeisance to us. Satan refused and to this day man cannot see the divinity Allah breathed in man. Finally, every nation was promised by the Quran a messenger from one raised up from amongst them. Well, who was raised from amongst us? The black American? Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was long dead before we were made a new nation over here, not quite american and not quite African either. Hebrew and Arabic are both semetic. Allah comes from the word Ilah and Biblical Aramiac word Elaha. The true Arabic word for God is Ilah. Hebrew- Elah/Eloh, Arabic- ILah. Are you aware that Christians in Arabic countries refer to god as Allah as well? And that their Bibles which are printed in Arabic use the word Allah?

What is not said that Imam Warith Deen has his own interpretation of the Quran that has been taught to only a few of the leadership, and the rest is not shared widely with the ummah, it is troubling as Prophet Muhammad gave the direct revelation of the Quran with the sunnah and hadith as directed by Allah, and here we have a leader Warith Deen creating an very different alternative discourse of the Quran that is very different. Because it is important to let them know that what they study is not real Islam. As a muslim you have to warn those people. And he does right with this, because NOI didn't do any good to their people. A true muslim believes that the last messenger is Muhammad (PBUH) and there is no God but Allah! This is also why Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali eventually found their path to real Islam. I know of Malcolm X he went to Mecca and saw the true light of Islam. But I challenge you with these questions: How long ago has it been since the Holy Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)? When were both Master Fard Muhammad and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad Born? If Master Fard Muhammad is "Allah in Person", then what does Surah Al-Iklas (112th Surah) say? I also have some differences with the late Imam. I followed Imam Wallace for 8 years before I decided to leave that jama'at and properly follow the Prophet (PBUH). But he did make some important and positive steps. For instance, he had further educated us in the aqeedah, or basic fundamentals of Al-Islam, similar to what the Minister has recently started doing with his group. If there's anything that I agree with you on, is that he should have kept the FOI/MWDC in the community. That was the backbone of the Nation's success! When you take out a backbone one becomes paralyzed. His father, the Honorable Supreme Minister Elijah Muhammad, despite his 3 or 4th grade education was a far better administrator than his son was. However, it was his father who, through the Muhammad University of Islam, permitted Old World Muslim teachers to teach his children and other children of the Nation the aqeedah of Al-Islam because one day, we will practice the pure aqeedah. That wasn't the Supreme Minister's job. His job was to "bring you into the knowledge of self, G'd and kind..."

Faatir means the Originator in Arabic, this is referring to Allah; as the originator of all that exists; the heavens, hell, moons, stars, planets, plants, animals and even us. Allah is the the First (Al-Awal) and the last (Al-Akhir). He has always existed and will continue to exist long after us. Allah says in the Quran "Have you not seen that God has created the seven heavens one above the other" - 71:15. "And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired [i.e., made known] in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps [i.e., stars, for beauty] and as protection.1 That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing." - 41:12 This proves that Heaven is a real place just like hell, and not a metaphor for us or the earth. Allah also says "And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein (jugular vein)." - 50:16 Meaning he knows us and can hear us even more than ourselves. Amen means "so be it" in Latin. it is said after prayer for Christians and Muslims, it has nothing to do with the Egyptian deity Amun-Ra. And if the human can be God then why doesn't God say it clearly in the Quran, why do you keep finding metaphors and not clear verses that clearly says the human is God?

What I find very interesting, besides yr focus on Tauheed, is yr statement about leaving the "play" (metaphor for IWDM's Community) during "the intermission." This statement is made 21 minutes and 27 seconds into the clip. Well, yr withdrawal from the Community of IWDM occurred in 1981, and it appears that this speech was made in 2012. +alsdyall Repectfully, I think you may be misunderstanding what he is saying which is the same as what many of the Imams that came from NOI have said. It is true that the NOI says God is one in their literature; however, they then go on to say that Fard is God in person which is also in The Message to the Blackman. This is part of the same concept in principle as in Christianity it puts the creator in the position of no longer being One God anymore. The only difference in looking at this idea and comparing it to Christianity is that the NOI make the creator 2 instead of 3(trinity). Orthodox or mainstream Islam totally forbid anything that even remotely appears to be Shirk (bind/associate/ascribe any partners with Allah subhana wa ta ala). So when one says Allah is ONE there is absolutely no exception. Insha'Allah those who are committing this sin make taubah/repent before it's too late.

Elijah Muhammad's main point was that Allah was not simply a detached spirit or a spook, but that Allah was real. Allah is the reality of our experiences. When Elijah Muhammad says he came in the person of WD Fard he meant just that, that Allah came into that person or manifested through him. It was largely figurative. The Qur'an says Allah is nearer to us than our jugular vein. The Qur'an speaks in terms like "we" and "our" yet we know the Prophet Muhammad wasn't committing shirk. Now there are followers of Ibn Taymiyyah and Salaf saying that Allah is sitting on a throne somewhere up in the heavens, literally…which is preposterous, honestly. What is Allah?

Yes, true what you are saying about the teachings. That is what's in the History of Master Fard Muhammad, Message to the Blackman, Our Savior has Arrived etc. However, according to Islamic teaching it is Shirk. The all powerful creator of the Heavens and Earth and everything therein did not come in the form of Fard Muhammad. Allah (swt) did not become one with his creation. Allah (swt) is that which creates and is not reduced to the creation. The only thing that distinguishes you, from me, from Fard, from the white man, the black man etc is our piety. I can, if you will let me, pull you out of hell and set you into heaven. Then Ican keep you in heaven; or I can keep pushing you and push you into the punishment of hell until you acknowledge that there is no God but Allah Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to whom praises are due forever and that Elijah Muhammad is His Servant..”1 We need only refer to Louis Farrakhan’s words spoken at his ne plus ultra “Million Man March”, where he opened with the following invocation, “I am so grateful to Allah for his intervention in our affairs in the person of Master Fard Muhammad the Great Mahdi, who came among us and raised from among us a divine leader, teacher and guide, his messenger to us the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad.” Final Call columnist Bernard Cushmeer, (Jibril Muhammad) states in his book, Is It Possible That The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Is Still Physically Alive? that Louis Farrakhan today publicly rejects the belief that Elijah Muhammad is dead, even though Farrakhan saw his teacher’s corpse in a coffin in February, 1975. According to Cushmeer, this belief is so well established, that Farrakhan has said that if it is “determined that the body in the ground reported to be that of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, was in fact his, he would stop teaching.”2 It is for this reason that every issue of Farrakhan’s The Final Call newspaper, prints the words, “He Lives” on the inside back page under The Muslim Program. Cushmeer also makes the following claim: “If you will take the time and read the Qur’an, and look at the arguments of Messenger Elijah Muhammad on the subject of the identity of the person addressed by its Author (Allah), it will become clear that Muhammad of Arabia could not be the man for whom it was ultimately meant…The main thing to know is that the Qur’an was originally written with The Honorable Elijah Muhammad in Allah’s mind as the ultimate recipient.”3 On Sept. 1, 1985, Farrakhan’s wife, Betty, speaking in Chicago after her return from Mecca where she accompanied her husband on Hajj, began her speech with the statement “In the Name of Allah, in the name of His True Servant and His Last Apostle, The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I greet you…” Thereafter, Farrakhan stated that while making Tawaf around the Ka’abah in Mecca, he had loving thoughts about the glorious Prophets Muhammad, Abraham, Isma’eel, and “my father the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.” On Oct. 24, 1989 and February 28, 1990, Farrakhan declared that he traveled to the “top of a sacred mountain in Mexico where he was taken in a UFO to a “mother wheel” containing the late Elijah Muhammad”4 Furthermore, in an interview held on December 24, 1989 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he still maintained that he accepted Islam in 1955 under the teachings of Elijah Muhammad, and that Fard Muhammad, Elijah Muhammad’s teacher was: “…a means through which Allah presented himself to Elijah Muhammad in the same manner as the Angel Gabriel was a means through which Allah presented Himself to Muhammad (s.a.w) in the form of a man…” This should leave no doubt in the minds of the Muslims as regards the true nature of the NOI. Yes Isa(AS) will return but he(AS) is already a messenger of Allah but when he comes He(AS) will follow Muhammad(SAW) teachings, because all the prophets brought the same message. They all brought peace and they all submitted their will to God.

The Bible says for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) Our good works and good deeds will not get us into Heaven (Isaiah 64:6) You can do all the good works and good deeds in the world but that is not going to change the fact that we are STILL sinners. We have ALL broken God’s Ten Commandments and it is only through Jesus we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the live and no man can come to the Father except through Me (John 14:6) Jesus is coming back soon and He loves you. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ As Lord and Savior then you will be saved (John 3:16)
