Thank you for this! The truth is the truth. Immorality is at the root of all of the degradation we currently see in our society.

It is truly time for the children of God/Allah to unite. Christians, Jews, and Muslims must come together. We have much more in common than we have differences. Let us forgive each other for past sins. We MUST UNDERSTAND that the true enemy are the godless. They will crush us individually through the UN and Chinese governments if we don’t push back together.

good video. gets better near the end when he address the root cause- zina is way too rampant. unfortunately, our muslim ummah is not immune to this... Epic Masjid/ East Plano/ other muslim organizations, you need to bring our women scholars and medical experts to talk about this. you realize this all has to do with women's bodies. while Sh. Qadhi shared important insights here, he simply cannot bring the angle that a female scholar, who has a female body addressing an issue that affects the female body would bring. There is Dr. Rania Awaad, Yasmin Mogahed, Iesha Primea and so many others who are learned and qualified (extra qualified for the mere fact that they are WOMEN, female bodies) to be addressing this topic. I want to see our muslim organizations doing better. It is 2022.

As usual, Islam offers a reasonable middle way filled with nuance and mercy for this issue. We as Muslim have to be careful not to be taken in by the extremists on either side of this debate.

I did some research into the reasons maybe 15 years ago as to why women get abortions; among minorities a huge amount are married women who feel trapped in their marriages, they don’t like their husbands but already have 2/3 children together so don’t leave for the sake of the family unit but they definitely do not want to bring more children into the household.

I'm not sure I understand why the Sh is mixing law with personal choice. Is it the position of Muslims that other people should not be allowed to do X and the power of the law should be used as a cudgel against their choice? Isn't this what happens in many repressive societies where the community's ancestors originate from?

Brother, you hit the nail right on the head so to speak and May Allah bless you for that, and let the chips fall where it may.
I am in my early 30s and I just cannot understand how any Muslim youth of any age can critcize this decision by the Supreme Court. It's mind boggling.
@suzieq79262 жыл бұрын
This is going to be long, and I apologize. I am 40, and I can criticize it because i was in a medical situation where I “could” have needed an abortion, but I live in a state where that would be very complicated within the current political situation. In my fifth pregnancy, an abnormality was detected, and further testing was needed.. For a portion of my very much wanted pregnancy, I had to entertain the notion that I may be giving birth to a possibly dead or dying baby, My heart fell apart when I was holding my breath waiting for the results (it took time to get the results). The results of the extra testing came back negative. Alhamdulillah, she was born healthy, and that abnormality resolved itself. Looking back on it, I know that not everyone is that fortunate, testings and scans come back with devastating results, and I do not think that there should be extra obstacles for people already in a hard place mentally and physically in this kind of situation. If you live in a red state that is pretty much going to obliterate this aspect of Womens’ healthcare, and you will have less choice and more government intrusion into a very private healthcare decision that they have no business in, especially considering they are not approaching it from the same religious/moral background as a Muslim. I am married, have been married since 18, and have five kids, all Praise be to Allah for that. I have nothing to do with the immorality of the American culture. But when my mind was spinning out the possibilities of what my body may have to go through in a very specific circumstance, I was glad that it would be medically safe and accessible to me. I was also glad the “choice” existed. If you live in a state where heartbeat bills exist, it is going to be harder, and doctors are going to be fearful of prosecution. I can’t help what immoral people (rapists, promiscuity, etc) do. Their behavior should not be a justification to impede my access to healthcare if I (or one of my three daughters) should ever need it. And that will happen when you leave it to states to decide. And my state is gerrymandered beyond all recognition, so there is also that. And historically in the US, abortions have been around since the colonial days. This isn’t some new concept. It has just been made safer as time progressed, and new medicines have been developed. Second wave feminism didn’t ring in the era of abortion. They just ensured safety and accessibility for all women. I’m not a “feminist”, but I am a woman and I am really glad that abortion safety and accessibility existed for all of my 40 years on this planet. I have not had to have one, and I hope that I never have to have one. But I was grateful that it was an option (within Islamic considerations of course). The imam spoke about nuance in Islamic law with regards to abortion. The problem is a lot of state laws are NOT going to allow for nuance. As a Muslim, I am concerned. I am worried. I don’t live in a blue state. I live in a red state. I absolutely do not want to live under Christian religious rule (which is what this is going to come down to) when left to the states, especially in the Bible Belt. It should worry anyone that Justice Thomas mentioned contraception after this ruling.. If the riot in DC showed you nothing, then know this. These people are extremists., and NOW is the time to be concerned. In a southern state, I fear given the history of this country, where states rights may lead.

JazakhAllahu Khairan Shaykh Yasri, another important topic where the Islamic perspective MUST differ from the two extremes of "abortion on demand" or "total abortion ban". May Allah SWT protect the Ummah and righteous from the fitnah of promiscuity and immorality Ameen.

I think that if I were a follower of the Abrahamic faith, that I would probably be opposed to abortion. I am curious though how many theists would concede the opposite. That if they believed in a strictly physicalist world, they would support abortion rights.

See that's the difference there are no exceptions when it comes to a real believer in scripture in the Bible when it comes to abortion there are no exceptions there are no compromises that baffles me it really does that people get mad because the abortion law was overturned they mad because they can't commit murder this is so deep and it's so demonic that you really have to think on where these people's heart and mind is at and they have an allegiance to a dark power that they don't even know they are blind literally
