Also, in several hadith it is mentioned that Adam was the first prophet but the first messenger was Prophet Nuh A.S.: Abu Umāmah al-Bāhili (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, was Adam a prophet?" May Allah guides you: In Jesus' farewell discourse in the Gospel of John (chapters 14 to 16), Jesus speaks about the coming of the "Spirit of Truth" or "Advocate" (in Greek, parakletos). Ahmad (another name of Muhammad PBUH), is very close etymologically to the Greek word, parakletos, so it is likely that the Qur'an is claiming that Jesus' farewell discourse in the Gospel of John predicts Muhammad.
