The twelve steps of Overeaters Anonymous truly helped me get over a lifetime compulsion ALHAMDULILLAH. Do you know the basis and solution? Submission to a Higher Power. That is Allah! For some of us it really is a compulsion, not a true decision in the moment, not a habit. Like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer to stop a headache. It's making things worse, but you just can't stop. Then once the compulsion was lifted by Allah, I could train myself to make good decisions (cutting out sugar eventually, fasting, eating two meals only, more prophetic in shaa'Allah). Some of us need a little help first before this training, and it's all good for our relationship with Allah in shaa'Allah.

@@Hadeel_Alshammari what the brother and sister means is, when you get closer to Allah swt (prayers, reciting, saying specific words, being more God concious) what starts to happen is your heart undergoes Purification. As your heart purifies itself, the deep rooted vices /deviance to go against yourself are 'lifted' off of you. So as your heart is purified your Will to control your body gets stronger. As this sister mentioned, as her relationship with Allah grew, then she was able to reduce her meals, train, and do fasting and reap the rewards. Essentially when you get closer to God, and your heart undergoes purification, you will naturally distance yourself from foulness which includes gluttonous eating. Hope this helps you ❤

That`s a real doctor!!! who believes in natural healing and spirtual healing also..Modern day western medicine which we practice just perform symptomatic treatment and Disease maintenanceand doesnt cause healing or health enhancement..!! holistic way of approaching medicine is a real deal...Allopathic doctors today die of heart,liver,kidney diseases and of diabetes and other diseases the same way that their patients die off,,so that means allopathic doctors dont heal they just treat the patient symptomatically...the only goood thing that alopathy has given is a surgical procedure and anesthesia..

Jazzakhala khairan. How to determine exactly your food needs, especially adapted to your personality ?

You can fast for 5 days, and eat something very bland and neutral for iftar with Water. After 3 days of this your body will separate desire based eating and let you know what really truly satisfies your hunger.

Where can I learn this subject
@MsSimpleMovies6 жыл бұрын
If you search on KZbin about fasting and desire, many speakers will pop up. In their talks, they'll most likely mention scholarly works which can elucidate more how the Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) ate. You can also seek to learn directly from these teachers if they ever come to your area in shaa'Allah.

What and where is this Hadith "dig their graves with their teeth"?? Isn't that a slow suicide? And if it is, how can it possibly be halal? What is the reference and the Hadith in Arabic & Translation, thx.
@rahimick57 жыл бұрын
He didn't say it was a hadith, just that it was a famous saying. The Prophet SA did, however, make many other statements about food / eating that seem to be in line with the concept of sinfulness in overeating.
