Island-hopping in Indonesia by motorbike 🇮🇩 Ep18 RTW

Do you ever have those moments where you think "How does anything work at all here?", well we had a good few days of thinking that thought many times trying to catch a ferry in Indonesia. There are no (publicly accessible) timetables, nobody seems to know anything accurate, and yet somehow, it works.
In this episode, we're trying to get from 'East Nusa Tenggara' (the Indonesian side of East Timor), to Flores, as we're headed to Labuan Bajo. Tens of thousands of people do this every week, so surely it's simple, right? Hah.

I knew you guys would eventually make your way to the upper deck staff area like we did haha. I couldnt handle downstairs in the heat and everyone welcomed us so nicely we couldnt resist. Sulawesi was by far one of our favorite islands, such a fun place im sure you will love it too

Well one thing is for sure, patience is a vital necessity. The people are very tolerant friendly and helpful but I guess you're both hanging out for open spaces. The map showing the route to the other island didn't seem that far, but was an overnighter. As you say Harry, the plot thickens. Bring it on.👍

when I took the ferry in Indonesia from java to sumatra, the ferry was much better even the ferry had karaoke and massage chairs maybe i'm just lucky that day
