Your tour boat should have been like a cruise ship. If you're more than 15 minutes late back to the boat, then too bad! Boat leaves. You missed the boat! 70 minutes! That's outrageous! I love snorkeling! The best snorkeling I've experienced was off the Maui coast in 1990. I was in Antigua in January this year, and not only was the snorkeling terrible, but the borrowed equipment was awful. I was choking and gagging on seawater! It taught me a valuable lesson. Bring your own snorkel gear! Anyway, Borneo looks so beautiful!

That's one thing we left out of the video - the borrowed equipment on the second tour was really bad. We were struggling a lot with masks fogging up, getting filled with water. It really can be hit or miss. And, yes, 70 minutes was a little ridiculous to us as well. Totally understand that keeping time in some cultures is a bit looser than in the US. But...

We just stopped by their office in the tourist center to inquire about pricing. Second tour: Sunbear Travel and Tours (Bohey Dulang + Mantabuan + Sibuan) sunbeartt.com/?srsltid=AfmBOo... During a less busy time in the season, this tour would probably be much better. We booked it online using Viator. Hotel: Semporna Seaview Hotel maps.app.goo.gl/euRAWGSedgyRw... We loved this hotel. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was very clean and comfortable. And, the AC was very, very good.

To be honest, we didn’t find it to be too bad. Our opinion was that other KZbinrs/bloggers made it seem worse than it was.

@@kineticpassports the truth is near sandakan and semporna there are villages occupied by stateless people. They do not pay taxes as they are not malaysians(mostly sea gypsies bajau or filipinos). So no waste management. Due to complaints in the past, the local council is trying hard to clean sandakan and semporna
